  2. The new Vego seed starting supplies look great. However I am curious how the top watering hole works for watering the seedlings. It might get clogged due to the soil but then I would just mist the seedlings and bottom water as normal. Thanks for keeping us updated on those supplies. They look very durable. Thanks again!

  3. Super excited for my first year to do seeds. I’m doing Zinnias, Strawflowers & Gomphrena(the easy ones) Oh boy-Forgot-Me-Not(😮I’m in zone 5b Toronto/Canada they will go everywhere & it’s definitely a perennial for us & been pulling it out for years & years!!) Same with Lily of the valley (very invasive & a nuisance) I guess in some zones flowers obviously grow differently, I just say beware of those two in particular. I absolutely love love your garden and I’m doing Gomphrena because of your lovely purple ones.

  4. First & foremost Rocco is soooo stinking’ cute!!! ❤️❤️The custom birdhouse is adorable & maybe you should store it indoors for now for your FUTURE greenhouse?! 🤔👏🏼
Thanks as always for the seed starting inspiration. Waiting on a few more seeds to be delivered but hope to get started this weekend for my Johnny’s seeds. Will do the winter sowing. I’m really looking forward to the poppies and celosia!🤞🏼I also ordered seeds of Cephalaria Gigantea (giant scabious)…they get up to 8 ft. tall! Found out about them on Cotto Verdi’s channel. Have you heard of them?

  5. I’m so curious how that watering system will work with the domes.
That birdhouse is so beautiful. What a thoughtful gift!
We love your at home editions too. I made the potatoes with the smoked paprika and everyone loved them. I can’t wait to make the pot roast.

  6. Flowers anonymous yes I am an over seeder. I’ve started 800 or so or sow so far. Just potted up my Lisianthus yesterday. Also potted up my tomatoes, petunia and coleus. Zone 9a Austin. Last frost date is February 25. It’s a beautiful day here today 64 degrees and a good rain this morning.🌸

  7. Great flower selections! I also am using the Vego seed starters and will not plant more than I need because I know I'll kill the rest. I'd rather save the seed for future years. I think you should use the birdhouse outside if it would help the local birds. If not, keep it inside. 😁

  8. Hi Steph! Wow that’s a beautiful birdhouse. I wonder if rubbing wax on the plate would keep it looking good longer. The birds are going to love it. I haven’t started anything yet. Great video.❤❤❤

  9. Your winter sowing video last year is what inspired me to try this year and I have 20 or so containers sitting in the snow. Also, the watering feature on those domes looks terrific; I wonder, though, why the large cells need a humidity dome. And that bird house is fabulous – what about under your porch (where your swing sits)? But I think it will stand up to the weather just fine. Oh, and I can't help but plant too many seeds even when I try, but I got them all in the ground before it froze – the perennials, anyway. Looking forward to seeing your glorious garden again!

  10. I have a true hate relationship with deer where I live. They eat absolutely everything!!! I have an enclosed area.. they do eat everything on the ends not the center, thank God. When it’s not deer it’s squirrels. Uuuur! Any recommendations?

  11. I’m a chronic overseeder! Last year I had so many geraniums and rudbeckias that I gave to my niece and sister. Trying hard this year to just seed what I need. I’ve done 12 winter sowing jugs and have more to do. Happy Gardening!

  14. Hi Steph. I’m just doing a litter winter sowing this year, being more particular on what to choose. I’ll probably start the beginning of March, end of February. What a beautiful, thoughtful gift! I think I would use it outside 🐦

  15. I just tonight in fact did winter sowing in 11 jugs! I was so excited to get those going. I still have yet to order a few more seeds but I hear you-it’s so easy to get carried away isn’t it? So glad you received the package!! I’d say hang the birdhouse outside. Most people that we have made them for (friends and family) say that they usually get wrens that take up residence. They do sing so sweetly too. Hang in the shade if you can. there are vent gaps under the edge but shade is best for sure. OMG-I loved seeing sweet Rocco too. This video has me excited about spring-and you are right, we are almost there!! 🙂
