Ed it was announced in Anime Expo stream on 1 of July together with digimon survine on Bandai Namco Summer Game Showcase Panel that was streamed over on their twitch channel
I have mixed feelings. I like the monster rancher games and am happy it is coming here, but I don't like the kaiju designs. I'm much more likely to pick up dragon quest treasures
I don't like at all ultraman kaiju designs so this game won't be for me.. If it was more like Godzilla (Ps4 game) or even Legendary models I'd be into it for sure!

But how mean kiju will there be cos if there not a lot that will kill it
ultraman is very much having a large push nowadays into the western market in all sorts of ways, so this being added to it is not a bad thing at all. this wasnt happening until recently however, to make a very long story short, the company that owns the ultraman brand was tied up in a decades-long and pointless legal battle over the ownership of their own characters from someone who claimed to have been granted permission to be the sole international distributor of the brand from falsified documents. the company thankfully ended up winning and are now going full force in trying to bring the brand overseas themselves through things like bluray and dvd releases of nearly every single series in north america, a netflix anime, comics produced by marvel including a full on ultraman and avengers crossover story coming soon, and much more.

I like the Monster Rancher games enough and I really enjoy the general Kaiju theme, though I will admit that I prefer Godzilla over Ultraman. With all that being said, this might be an interesting game and it coming to the west can only be a good thing, especially considering that decisions like this may one day lead to Dragon Quest Monster coming back to the west again as well. 🥰
I actually like Kaiju but can't call myself a fan, but I didn't liked the designs so far, yeah I know it's all based on the primal times of Kaiju genre n all, but it's just feels uncanny to see old designs in modern media
