“It’s A Sad Conclusion But An Unavoidable One” Oxygen Runs Low On Missing Titanic Sub

Despite hopes fading as the 96-hour oxygen supply dwindled, the US Coast Guard is still treating the hunt for the missing Titan submersible as an “active search and rescue”.

The vessel lost communication with tour operators on Sunday while about 435 miles south of St John’s, Newfoundland, during a voyage to the Titanic shipwreck off the coast of Canada.

TalkTV’s Peter Cardwell is joined by Dr Leonard Evans who dived to the Titanic to discuss the ongoing critical search for the missing Titanic tourist submersible.

Leonard tells Peter he believes that those onboard have perished.

“It’s a sad conclusion, but an unavoidable one.”

  1. The interviewer did not allow his very interesting and knowledgeable guest to answer any questions.
A very poor interview i hope he learns from it.
It now appears Leonard was correct .

  2. The doctor was spot on. I thought the exact same thing when i first heard the news. I don’t hear the media discussing the main points like the moment contact was lost and the fact that they were not at the Titanic site yet when that occurred. It was also said early on that the submersible was equipped with an automatic system that would surface it if power was lost. The implosion theory is really the only scenario that fits.

  3. Don't really want to let this guy talk, eh? Because, if you listen to what he's saying, it's kind of like, you might need to find some different content given that there is no story here anymore (because they've been dead for days).

  4. The media needs to quit with the false hope. You can’t argue with science. Implosion is the conclusion of most EXPERTS. So yeah, we’d better listen to them because they do this for a living and it’s based on science. Facts do not care about your feelings💯✋🤷🏼‍♀️

  5. This interviewer is a total knob. Let the guy talk! He’s trying to explain the immense pressures at that depth, which is important to understand, and he cuts him off. Classic mainstream media weasel

  6. I know Evans did not compare this situation to the roads in the United States… People can breathe on the roads for days, years, and decades.

Are we going to see/ hear from people who have gone and seen the titanic knowing they could have paid up to 250,000 dollars… because that's not the story…

The man looked strange 😳..in this interview.

  7. The structure of the submersible could be perfectly intact. A more likely failure than collapse would be a high-pressure leak from around the 17-bolt seal. A leak of sufficient volume could knock-out all power and continue to flood the vessel until pressure equalizes, while the dump-able ballast becomes inadequate to compensate for the change in buoyancy. That would put this group in an ice water bath, sucking a very small bubble of compressed air inside. They may well have been dead in the first two hours.

  8. "Very very interesting" says this interviewer at the end of the clip… It would've been a LOT more interesting if you wouldn't have interrupted him every 30 seconds 🤦‍♂️

  9. They can't stop the rescue operation at 96 hours! The submersible had 96 hours of oxygen assuming all 5 are breathing. If just 1 person stops breathing, either voluntarily or by force, the oxygen availability could be extended to 115 hours. But then, they will have to worry about the air quality at sometime… I am sure the passengers have thought about this — they are all astute business people.

  10. Interviewer asks a question and interrupts before the complete answer is given. Are you forced to control by time restraints or are you rude? The viewer wants to hear the expert's views and has been denied the opportunity. SHAME

No, I say he's correct. This talking head hack is not a reporter and just a sugar coater. Let the expert say what he thinks.

  12. Way to go talk tv, being especially rude and dismissive of what a guest has to say, cutting him off and completely disregarding his explanations while continuing with questions unrelated to the event. This is the face of media in 2023.

  13. He says he’s being “pessimistic”. No, he was being REALISTIC. Look… he was right!

So many of the experts brought on (heck, even James Cameron as well) have said that it imploded based on the information they gathered. They called it from early on.
