  1. I like it better if it was actually Mendicant Bias talking. But I'm a sucker for the last one of an ancient species living long enough to see their previous empire be forgotten. Which may sound weirdly specific, but it actually comes up a lot.

  2. Wow I actually thought that Cain and Able referenced the Forerunners the precursors. They sinned against god and man, referencing how they killed the precursors and the ancient humans/themselves by indirectly creating the flood

  3. Another biblical reference from the monologue is the line “evil over the light, but the light cannot be extinguished” is a reference to John 1:5, talking about how Jesus, the Messiah, is the light of the world that evil cannot extinguish.
Kinda goes along with bungies other biblical references to Mister chief being a messianic type of character

  4. Completely irrelevant to the information in the video, but for years I just love the fact you put different Halo music/soundtracks in the background to kind of go with what your discussing and I at times find myself ignoring what you’re saying (don’t worry not on purpose and respectfully) and just d*mn near feel like I’m 6-7 years old again playing halo 2 again and just reminiscing 😭

  5. This lore makes sense when you realize that the only species in the game using spoken English backwards; the little Wort Wort Wort ended up being the inspiration. Sangheili game Dev lore ended up being far more important now with that context

  7. The humans being forerunners and some other race being seperate is so super possible in halos story. Like them actually being at war. And them having the different ways to fight the flood. And humanity deciding to not reseed them giving them a reason to hate you when they do come back in halo 4.

  8. Dude all your lore is WRONG. You fuckin love that 343 fantasy lore, and praise it, and talk about it, and validate it CONSTANTLY. Even tho it contradicts everything about the original Halo games. Yet you still spew out this garbage like Halo is some fantasy game.

  9. I think its kane from the bible as a reference to mendicant bias and the forunners and or the covenant and humanity, and ive said this since i first heard the reversed message.

  10. Are we sure this isn’t just a forerunner speaking and speaking about God and man, what if it’s talking about the betrayal of the primordial(God) and man(humans). And to be specific could be the Didact whom is stuck in a timeless prison.

I base this one saying ignore the 3000 years that’s said. And it makes sense as the Didact f*cked over humanity hard during the OG flood war and killed the primordial using a reverse time lock. And was put into a cryptum a timeless prison on Requiem for his sins. And a Requiem is a musical composition repose for dead souls. Also its opposite in definition is a token of remembrance. So that so him being locked on Requiem is his token for remembering all the souls of the dead he has taken for prometheans. Using idk a composer.

Honestly started blowing this out my a$$ but now I’m starting to believe my own theory.

  11. Hear me out you know. It's just a troll and it could be a voice of one of their former team members when they were making Halo 2? Maybe it has ZERO correlation to the lore at all and this is like some other time when Bungie put the Forunner symbols in ODST and they quite literally meant NOTHING. You're too into this, it could just be a fucking troll

  12. I think this line comes from regret, since his name is regret, and he is one of the three profits, I think he regrets his actions, Johnson even says dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to earth, and we most certainly regret that our core took out our raggedy ass fleet!

  13. You mentioned that halo evolutions released in '09 you may have forgotten that halo was still in the hands of bungie
Prior to the development of halo:CE anniversary. That being said, the new theroy may still have some weight going off of the rules you put forth.

  14. I'm curious if the role of Arbiter was always one given to those who were shamed.
In Halo2 Thel specifically says he doesn't deserve to be in their presence, Truth and Mercy recount their past glorious deeds, and our Arbiter is treated with much veneration despite the mark of his heresy… All kinda implies Arbiters are glorified rather than shamed.

As a kid, I interpreted the role of Arbiter as one of honor, only in this one instance being bestowed upon one shamed

  15. I always just thought it was Sangheili Monks that maintained and worshiped the arbiters chanting offscreen. At one point I thought it was also the honor guard chanting that in reverence to The Arbiters as a Holy Place. It was such an incredible touch. I think it’s a Forerunner spirit (possibly a construct like Catalog or a Fragment of Faber) lives in High Charity since it’s connected to the Dreadnaught
