I use console, so when it is released on that, I will definitely be playing. Thanks for showing us around and for showing me that this game is being made. I am definitely excited now.
The game looks cool, but feels like watching raft / subnautica in just different visuals…
You used the battery on the turbine
Looks sooo good. Can't wait for the full release. Maybe make it so that the storms will make flying difficult or near impossible, and you'll need to find a spot to hunker down.

You left me wanting more Fisk 😀
really nice game and commentary dude, could also not get enough of it
"Well that was anticlimactic!" Ha Ha Ha
Fisky!!! I got something for you!!!
I found something out boys. you can Duplicate Items!! Yes and there is a Solide State Battery at the Beginning of the Game thats means you can Build on your Ship while the Demo Time aint running… isnt that awesome xD
Ok the only thing you have to do is Drag an Item from your Inventory to the side to remove it and it will be on the floor… next i picked up the Item again and Save Exit the Game after Loading back the Item is again on the Floor and also in my Inventory. Open the Door with one Battery while the other you can use for the Building Tool, HAVE FUN.

It's a sweet, sweet homage to Subnautica.. Played the demo..
New subscriber 💪👽
It's "like" Subnautica. This is an understatement. The game looks ok, but the assets used are clearly the same assets used in Subnautica, obviously, the same assets get used in many games, so this is not a bad thing, but a developer, team or studio, will usually make premade assets and asset packs unique for their own game, take certain assets from one pack and merge them with different assets from a different asset pack. Including environment, sounds, UI, modular building, tools, food, water, health, character models, character model movements, whether or not it's set in space, on a planet, underwater, in the air etc. The different types of sandbox area fill or environment atmosphere and location types. Obviously the game is a demo, I just would have thought the dev would make sure the game represents a different IP, style and game. The game is not similar to Subnautica because of the game story, but I think people instantly see, hear and notice the same assets that were used in Subnautica. I think this is were the connection has been made, and not because its a survival exploration game similar to Subnautica, but based in the air. The game therefore looks good and the story will hopefully be a good one, as the game is developed.
Subnautica used asset packs from Unity and Unreal Engine stores, and possibly other asset pack stores. But Subnautica changed things, customised the asset packs, using different assets from different asset packs, changing the size, layout, colour, style etc. So for anyone interested, just go to the Unity or UE asset store, or just google "Sci-Fi Interior asset pack or enviroment", and you will be surprised by all the asset packs that Subnautic used, and how many asset packs look very similar. And the packs are not that expensive, anything from £30 to $80 for asset packs. This is not a lot of money in terms of game development, especially when you are not designing, building, drawing, and creating everything yourself from scratch, starting in 2D, and then making 3D models in a 3D building studio, coding HEX, Binary, making hitboxes etc and using and building in STL, OBJ, FBX, and DAE formats. premade assets and asset packs are amazing tools for game developers, especially indy devs and games.
But as long as the game and everything looks good, runs well, has a good story and is eventually customised and has it's own style by the end of the game release, then it is a promising game and it then shouldn't matter what assets get used, or how many game devs and studios use the same assets or the fact they are premade and bought from an asset store. I just hope the base asset packs and models, asset placements in the game etc, are not just asset flips, or direct copies.
I understand many comments on this game, and the connection people are making, but when game devs and studios do use common and popular assets, or use assets that a popular and successful game used, and only do the bare minimum changes (sometimes without any changes), this can then turn people away, and cause drama, negative reputations, reviews, and impressions. And first impressions are very important in game development, more so in the indy dev side of the video game community. And hardcore fans of one game, who know, hear and see a new game dev using the same assets from their favourite video game, it instantly causes drama and can cause the new game and dev/studio to be buried in the ground, with no attention or interest, maybe a few people will like watching the game being played on YouTube, but won't actually buy the game, and all because the game dev or devs used didn't customise the asset packs they bought and used for their game, which are also used in another game, which happened to be very popular and loved. Fans, superfans and hardcore fans can all overreact a little, they believe their game is the original, and the new game stole everything. When in fact you can go to an asset store and buy the same assets yourself, then use Unity or UE studio to throw the assets into a sandbox, give it a title and throw it on Steam or somewhere.
I think the same or very similar assets for Subnautica are on both Unity and UE stores and are on other asset stores, like 3DExport, which is a korean asset store if I remember correctly. Personally, I can understand both sides of the aisle (well, until people and over-emotional hardcore fans start being abusive and threatening, and acting ugly, using abusive attacks and behaving like privlidged entitled children, who are having a tantrum. Then those people can go do one.) But I can understand people who defend the new game using the same assets and I can understand people who criticise the game with the same assets. Being an overreacting entitled childish idiot is not helpful to the game dev team, it causes negativity, and unnecessary drama and can take away any fun, interest and then ruin people's day. So, being over-emotional, overly sensative people
It can also cause new game devs to feel unenthused, unmotivated, and confused as to why they bothered to make a game in the first place. So people need to go easy on this game and the dev/devs, and not judge a book by it's cover.
Yes, this game is using the same assets that Subnautica used, the same environments, the same sound effects, the same UI (before Subnautic customised the UI asset and not the UI in the fully released game), the same computer voice, even the pod/room is the same pod/room asset, but the dev has changed the styling slightly. The first-person character model and animation are also the same as Subnautica. The character also looks like they are treading water or about to start treading water, their hands move around and act like they are in water sometimes, which is amusing at times. This is because the asset Subnautica used, was a scuba-diving character model, which obviously comes with preset movement animations and interactions when active in the water zones in the games sandbox/environment. And in the distant environment, many things are moving around, and if you look at these things, then think and picture Subnautica, you can start to see and picture fish shoaling and schooling, bubbles, water moments, and the sun of 4546B shining through the water, but in this game, the sun is shining through gas, but the sun effect is the same in Subnautica, the dev either replaced the water with a gas, changed, or merged different atmosphere or world assets together, to end up with this gas effect, or maybe the dev removed all the very obvious water effects, shading, shadows etc, and just changed the colour to green. When underwater in Subnautica, and if you stay still, and if you remove the fish and obvious signs of being underwater, you wouldn't necessarily know the atmosphere is supposed to represent an underwater world. All I start to hear inside my mind is "caution, 30 seconds of oxygen" or "New blueprint acquired" (or rather "New blueprint ackwired/awkward" haha. And I can not forget to mention "Oxgyen" then "30 seconds and 10 seconds", which feel like is broadcast every waking second whenever you go underwater.
So, I know this dev and game is using basically the same asset packs and packages as Subnautica did. But these will hopefully change over time and right now these are just dev placement holders, and in the future updates, the dev will change things, improve and customise things and put his own game style, ideas and signiture on everyhing, and the game is then a great sucess, moreover, people enjoy the game and become just as invested in, excited about and love upon as Subnautica is, no?
This game looks amazing! Looking forward to early access
Fisk, i hope you see this.. In the demo, if you finish the side quest "The Old Wish", it will actually remove the timer, and you can play as long as you want. The quest requires you to place a yule tree in your airship, fill it with ornaments, place 3 presents in the airship, and place a yule wreath in the airship.
If this game has jet packs in it so you can zip around like the Rocketeer, that would be awesome.
I look forward to you playing this in 2023. I also hope the game has a co-op mode.
Mate I love this game I'm even in the credits for helping test 😀
You totally left dead man's dairy 🧈.
