'Israeli strikes' target convoy carrying Syrian regime weapons | Assad Downfall

Sky News has visited the scene of what we have been told is an IsraelI strike on a convoy that was carrying weapons from the former regime.

Sky correspondent Alex Rossi said much of the weaponry was Russian.

A driver of one of the trucks told Sky News he was asked to move the weapons “by two men”.

It reflects a “vacuum of power” in the country following the fall of Bashar al Assad’s regime, Rossi said.

Israel says it has been hitting weapons dumps to prevent the arms being used by other actors.

  7. Urm.. What did Israel do freely in other country ? If France conduct an air strike to England, is it a declare of war? Did syrian ask for help from Israel? The west have a lot of weapons, they produce it. Why priduce in the first place?

  12. Israel is going to secure their borders and not allow what the u.n.useless happen in lebanon when the u.n. refused to ieforce the terrorists buffer zone. Israel has just done the u.n.useless job in lenanon and now Israel I going to make another buffer zone even into Syria. Lets face it, no nation in the middle east have to fear Israel because Israel since it's rebirth of their 3500 yr old nation, has never left their borders unprovoked and has never started conflict its always the arab muslim and their terrorists.

  20. People may not agree with Israel but jihadists are now running Syria and they are doing the Syria and the world a favor. We saw what happened in Iraq and Libya and this will be no different. I can understand the people of Syria celebrating Assad's downfall but I don't think they have an idea what's in store for them. Assad was a brutal dictator but I think the alternative is much worse.
