Israeli hostages reunited with family after complex rescue operation

Two “thin and pale” Israeli hostages were reunited with their families on Monday after they were rescued during an overnight raid by special forces in Gaza’s southern Rafah neighbourhood.

Fernando Simon Marman, 60, and Louis Har, 70, both dual Israeli-Argentine citizens, were taken to Sheba hospital in central Israel, according to a statement.

Mr Har’s son-in-law, Idan Begerano, who saw the released captives at the hospital, said they were “a bit frail, a bit thin, a bit pale” but communicating well and aware of their surroundings.
