Assigning a letter grade for 2024 at Disney Parks!
Each week, we cover the top stories in Disney Parks news and discuss the topics that are at the top of the Disney community’s mind. All in 60 minutes!
Welcome to ParksCenter on WDWNT.TV! We’re back with more news and discussing the latest happenings in Disney Parks. Join us live at 9pm ET!
It’s our last live episode of 2024, so we’re doing our year-end review of all the happenings! From Country Bears changes, to 2 versions of Tiana’s Bajou Adventure, it has been a busy year on paper for Disney World and Disneyland. But, if you were to assign a letter grade, would they pass? Walk down memory lane with us as we relive some of the best and worst from 2024 at Disney Parks.
Then, in our weekly news recap, our team at WDWNT has had boots on the ground, or rather, inside the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows ahead of the grading opening on December 17th, 2024. We’ll take a closer look inside this new DVC resort and discuss all the details.
Also, we’ll look at some transportation news, including a change in the valet service at Disney Resorts. We’ll also take a peek at the first State Inspection of the Walt Disney World Monorail System.
Our favorite watering hole, Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk will still close permanently in the near future, but the timeline for that closure has shifted. We’re bringing on a local expert to share his thoughts and feelings on the subject.
Over at EPCOT, they have finally repaired the ground lighting at World Celebration and it looks better than it has since opening day 2023. There are also some festival announcements including dates for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival and more activities announced for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
Join us for all of this and MUCH MUCH more tonight on ParksCenter!

As a regular Disney park goer, I prefer the virtual queue. There’s only so much I can rope drop. And I don’t wanna have to buy a lightning lane unless necessary. Like Thanksgiving day was necessary. But it’s not always necessary to get a lightning lane so with the virtual queue, I’ll have two of the most popular rides booked for me.
Communicore Hall…the concept art was better than reality, but it wasn't great either.
Merry Christmas all. You all do amazing work.
everything they do now sucks ballz
We have used lightning lane/genie on trips where we were trying to make sure everyone in our party gets to do their favorites; and yeah, it absolutely buries you in your phone. We spent a week in mid-November and opted for no phone usage except for taking photos. It was amazing how relaxing the trip was not stressing out about attractions and wait times.
Pete "the conversational steamroller" Carney. Small wonder this episode is an hour and a half
As for the monorail inspection, they found no big issues on any vertical concrete…some cracks. They will probably seal the cracks to protect rebar from moisture and be done. ✅
