The trek to the Island Peak Base camp is one of the most beautiful side treks to do on the EBC and Three Passes Trek. Day 04 was all about covering long distances. The Imja Tsho (5000 m) is one of the biggest glacial lake that I came across on the EBC and three passes trail.

somebody up there…loves you a lot..you have been blessed with good weather… now i am having chills .. will i be able to do it?
Normally one would need to have a thermal baselayer , fleece jacket , wind breaker and a down jacket after the trek (towards the evening).
I see that all of you guys are managing with rab as the second layer only.
Either rab is too good or you have a very good acclimatization to winter since you stay in Manali for a good part of the year.
