We set up a 5m glamping tent on our island. The whole process took about two hours, and even though it was pretty simple, the ground was soft and the stakes constantly kept popping out. Coincidentally, we chose to set up the tent on (probably) the hottest day in Finland this year, so after we went on our first swim in the lake. A lot of the time was spent cutting down some trees, to make the tent more accessible and make paths on the island. All of the trees cut down are going to used for firewood 🪵

For now, the tent is set up in its temporary location, so that our trips can be easier. Soon, we plan on building a deck platform for the tent, so it can on even ground and stay on the island longer. We wanted to set up the tent in its temporary location now, so that we can spend more nights on the island, and focus on getting the deck done.

Next trip, we’re planning on completing the tent with some more furniture, and clearing the area where we’re gonna build the deck.
