  1. I got my tote & holes drilled, gathered sticks & last year’s debris from the flower beds and got a bucket of kitchen scraps & paper towels (used) for the tote. Going to be cold tonight, and calling for snow flakes in morning but good news is in a couple days will be 80, that’s Indiana weather!! PS: at 3pm my first Hummingbird flew in, glad I had my feeder up.

  2. Mom, rest her soul, always buried her kitchen scraps in the back yard garden. Worms were always available for weekend fishing trips. Everything she planted grew beautifully. Trust Robbie. She knows what she's talking about.

  3. Yesterday it was time to pull out some old veggies and plant new stuff. After harvesting the rest and deciding to use the soil in a different pot I saw worms and thought of you "don't ask "how" they got there but why". 😀

  4. Hi Robbie, thank you for educating us. I have a question. …is it ok to put a few red wriggler worms in. I have a worm farm so I have them in abundance. Ive just done the preliminary work to set up 3 tubs this weekend. Yay…thank you from Sue (Australia )

  5. Maybe it's because of where I live, but I have never ever seen an earthworm crawling up the side of anything. Now tat I have everything up off the ground I can't find any, even where I used to find them when I had pots on the ground. I will buy some, but I want the right worms. Are they just called " earthworms? Thanks for any help! Happy gardening!

  6. I look forward to every video you put out. We have another freeze coming so I won't be starting this quite yet even though hubs is getting tired of the kitchen scraps I have in the freezer. LOL

  7. I once hung my wet gardening gloves on a metal frame (used to be grills on windows) that was adjacent to my Worm Bins. The nastiest surprise I got when I put them on the next day!

Yes Worm crawls up to the unlikeliest places if there's any incentive for them. The gloves I hung was apparently very wet due to a heavy rain the night before. I've never repeated the same mistake ever again.

  9. Thank you for making this so simple. I have watched many of your videos and used your tips! I am tired of buying soil. I could have had a ton if "the light bulb had gone off" months ago!! Well, no time like the present to stop throwing away food scraps and use it to make soil!! Cannot thank you enough. Just realized I am not subscribed! no time like the present to push that red button! :- D

  10. Robbie, thank you for your encouragement! I have commented a few times under the name Cathy Jo. I changed my name to Baby Steps Garden. I have begun my tote garden. I am so excited! I have onions 3" high already! I am learning so much! I want to have a lot of plants, and yes, we will eat what we grow. 😊 I use to believe I could not have a garden because I have too much shade. Beets love shade! Cabbage will grow well there, also Swiss chard, Arugula, Kale and others. I use to believe I could not have a garden because my land is hilly. Not much of it is flat. Your totes are the answer. My dad, William, says "Where there is a will, there is a way, and my name's Will." well, My name's Will also, even if it is Cathy Jo!
Love you, and love your channel! ❤❤❤
