Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Plastic and Steel, MaxxHaul, RhinoRamp, Black Widow, BiSupply, Eastwood, M Auto, Petersen, Kiekumm, Vowagh. I compared all of the ramps for use with low clearance vehicles, performance of ramps with rear wheel drive vehicle, front wheel drive vehicle, 4×4, “runaway” force, and ramp failure load.
I purchased all of the ramps and supplies used to test the ramps to ensure an unbiased review. So, thank you for supporting the channel.

No matter how much load plastic can handle before failure, im never gonna trust it the same way as steel
I was thinking of buying them before getting my jackstands, but thinking of working with wheels off made me realized I should get jacks first. Thank you for this review I can choose the ramp when I'm buying one.
For better safety and time saving keeping the ramps from moving, use a floor jack and jack stands.
I have the Rhino ramps and i haven't had any problems with slippage
Would not bet my life on any of these
Be careful with plastic ramps. Plastic loses its strength when subjected to the hot-cold cycles of a typical US garage. Check for structural cracks underneath the ramp before each use. I was incredibly lucky.
I never use ramps I have 2 lifts in my garage
I drive my truck on ramps that only cost around $129 aud / $90 used. I've had them for at least a decade and have never been scared to use them for any of my vehicles. Also Aussie made 👍 Excellent video. Shame you dont have access to put Aussie made stuff up against the rest of the world.
Great testing!
A trolley jack and Hd CHASSIS STANDS.
I wish I knew about that wet t-shirt trick 25 years ago. I have been struggling with those ramps sliding out for a long time.
Failure load is moderately useful; but given the range of rated loads, I would like to have seen the failure load/rated load (factor of safety) in the graph too.
Test power washers please
Ramps suck. If a vehicle can't drive back down the ramps, you'll need a jack anyway.
I had a pair of ramps made from angle iron with sharp cut ends which bit into concrete nicely, but it wasn't enough. I changed the clutch slave cylinder up on the ramps. I did say to myself that the clutch take up point would feel different when driving off the ramps. Clutch bit suddenly and shot both heavy steel ramps violently about 20 yards across the yard. Luckily no damage and no injuries. Lesson learned.
So there is basically 3 types sold by 12 companies 😂😭
13:50 more steel as not the issue, tempering is
I don't even own a car, but this is a great review!
Too bad you didn't try race ramps.
I suggest a wet T-shirt contest so you can recommend the best non-slip base!
I really enjoy your videos. I have been watching for a few years now. I would love to be there in person to watch you work your magic. I would love to assist as well. Do you have an email where I could ask you questions if you don't mind? Nothing major but would like recommendations. The portable jumper you recommended a while back has been amazing. I never dreamed I would of had to use it as many times as I did.
😲😲💀💀😲
I don’t think this ramp is meant for tractor.
People just buy crocodile lift.
I'm pretty sure (10:42) that you're supposed to put a bar in the holes on that ramp once you jack it up. I don't know how much this might help… but if you're going to test something, you should test it in appropriate use mode before going to "we KNOW this will screw it up!" mode.
My next-door neighbor got killed back in the 1990s because of cheap ramps. He was the local neighborhood backyard mechanic we all trusted. He worked on almost everyone's car ,I was shocked when it happened because he had lots of commonsense , and for what we found out later was the ramps side bars bent over the car crushed his chest. and
Well, after watching this video, I will never buy any of these types of ramps for use in my garage
What kind of scale was used to weigh the tractor?
One of each brand isn't always representative of the brand. I could be interested in seeing you test out 10 of same kind of tool from the same brand – to give us an idea of how bad a bad brand is.
To keep my ramps from sliding when driving up on them, I have a cheap 5’x7’ rug that has some kind of a rubberized type backing on it. I unroll it and put both ramps on it. The ramps never even budge an inch when driving up on them. Before using the rug, they’d always slide when on bare concrete. The car I drive up on it is a 4,200lb. rear wheel drive Holden 4 door.
most of these are the same ramps just rebranded garbage, think i will stick to a jack and wooden blocks lol
Just gonna say, and it may be exaggerated, but this video probably will actually save some lives. Highlighting the “poor” options for these ramps. You get one life, you can always spend another $50…. Get a good ramp people
A solid or laminated block of 12 x 12 of wood is cheaper and likely far better in compression.
You don’t want concrete that smooth if you live in a northern area, a light dusting of snow and it’s the same as ice. Where I live the snow comes down horizontally not vertically 90% of the time so yes it can cover the floor before you get the door closed. Damn near bit it multiple times. I like the ramps I have no movement driving on or off. Just finished charging the transmission fluid and filter on the jeep. Used them on the front and jacked up the rear to level. I have the rhino style.
Most of if not all of this crap should be taken off the market immediately. The manufacturers should be charged with attempted murder…….Bloody disgusting.
You should have added a comparison to a wooden DIY ramp made by cousin Eddie…
Never had a scary ramp experience but always used my Dad's heavy duty ( and believe me they where heavy) home made wood ramps. I made up some plans & have my wood bought go my set of wood ramps. I also used a set of Jack stands, so I bought a pair of them to use with the ramps
Seeing as how I had a near death experience with ramps due to them crilling over while I was under a car and got pinned, I refuse to use them ever again.
I was on a gravel driveway and I was young and stupid. But that experience is one made me respect raising vehicles. To me the aggravation of them wanting to slip and kick out isn’t worth it and I can jack up a vehicle just as easily and put jack stands under it.
Half of them look like they are made in the same factory in China. You want to add 2 extra rubber stops? That will double the retail price!
We do a lot of loading ramps 6 feet long by 9 to 12 inches wide on wood. It is a longer lower profile design. All the same issues
