“The Five Nights at Freddy’s series consists of horror-themed video games in which the player is usually a night-time employee at a location connected with Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a fictional children’s restaurant that takes inspiration from family pizza chains like Chuck E. Cheese’s and ShowBiz Pizza Place. The restaurant has life-size animatronic characters that perform at children’s parties. The animatronics wander the restaurant at night and the guard is instructed to watch over them. To progress through the games, the player must guard theirself against animatronics with a variety of tools. In Five Nights at Freddy’s, the player can control the two security doors connecting their office to the adjacent hallways as a barrier against animatronics in the vicinity. Each night, the player has a power supply that depletes faster when a tool is used. If the power goes out, the player can no longer use any tools, and is defenseless against the animatronics. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has different tools; there are no protective doors, and the player must instead use an empty animatronic head and flashlight to defend theirself against the animatronics. The game introduced a music box which must be remotely wound up on a regular basis to prevent an attack from a particular animatronic.8-bit minigames were introduced, which play randomly after death.
he player takes control of a young boy named Gregory, who is locked in a large shopping mall filled with murderous animatronics and must complete numerous missions to survive the night in order to escape. The animatronics found throughout the mall include Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, Sunnydrop and his nighttime counterpart Moondrop (also known as the Daycare Attendant), and DJ Music Man. The player will also encounter other types of enemies, which consists of Vanny, a woman dressed in a rabbit costume, employee robots called Staff Bots that can alert enemies to Gregory’s location if they spot him, and a security guard named Vanessa. All enemies will get stronger as the night progresses, so the player must adapt to their surroundings in order to survive. Gregory can hide to avoid enemies or throw objects to distract them. Running drains stamina and if it’s low, Gregory will not be able to move very fast.

I think Markiplier said it best in his "All Secrets Revealed" video of FNAF 3 that this one title managed to bring about ao much curiosity and intrigue, even going as so far as to invite those afraid of horror games together just so they can understand the story and how everything is connected: "Digging deep to what scares you most to find the truth."
FNAF, by all means, has changed my life, and I can easily the same for many others. And while many have their opinions on the title, saying that its scary and interesting or stupid and not scary, but what is undeniable is how it managed to bring together an entire community of people: artists, musicians, gamers, the theory crafters, among many others, all of which have helped contribute to the growth and spread of the game that has changed indie horror forever. While it is sad that Scott retired and how big of a footprint Steel Wool has to fill in regarding the legacy Scott had made, it is clear that these guys are dedicated to keeping the legacy of FNAF alive, and I'm all for it.
Keep up the great vids, Sheeprampage! And here's to many more years of Five Nights at Freddy's!
in reality it was the persons that wanted to play security breach but they rushed the developers to make the game before the deadline its sad that many was scrapped by the game being rushed in development.
I don't want to experience the crumbling of my last childhood memory. I really hope it doesn't end.
why does no one talk about the fact that from looking at steel wool studios steam game area that they only made vr games so of course help wanted was great a vr title by a vr company but when you give them the task of a "borderline triple a game" they're gonna have troubles for their first title I'm sure that if we wait patiently for the second title now that they've gotten used to it they can do better I know it.

Dude. It’s just one game in the franchise. Literally the first triple A of it as well. If anything this gives it a bright future. So, can we PLEASE stop pretending we never had this same song and dance with FNAF world?
As someone who enjoyed Security Breach, this video comes across as way too negative to me. For one, it makes the assumption that "Security Breach disappointed us all", when I clearly see the opposite on the FNAF subreddit and FNAF Twitter, which posts getting many thousands of likes, retweets, and shares. Secondly, it makes the claim "most of us can agree that the original FNAF games were much better than Security Breach", which also isn't the case. You're assuming the entire FNAF fandom hates Security Breach, when they don't.
Know what I am going to help with the next games story when I am old enough (which is when I am 15 or 16 and that is not really all that far away) considering I am a story maker myself.
I’m going to be honest SB didnt do great but do I think fnaf is going to end oh hell no, but sb when it comes to many things like story was really important, the trailers was so much better than the game itself, Vanny’s jumpscare, the moon man in the kitchen. Things that actually got me really hyped, after finishing fnaf sb i was left with mixed emotions, and I listen to all the scraped lines and was like ‘why did they scrap this?? This would’ve explained things..’ This is their first game and looking at their Twitter post about patches I just want them to have more communication with us and be clear on why this game ended up the way it was. Fnaf always has my heart since 2014, and no 2021 3d upgrade is going to change my opinions on the fandom. Did it break the community into pieces, hell yeah. But I see the future in fnaf as something amazing especially with story and lore

It's hard to say, I'm just hoping that Scott will be ok. I thought he'd retire after Fnaf ended (which I thought was UCN), but he retired after receiving backlash over a stupid donation. While I sometimes think that it probably wasn't just the dumbasses who were dicks to Scott, it could have been the stress of the development of Security Breach? Either way, I'm excited for what Fnaf has in store in the future. Let's all hope it'll be a good one.
I feel like most new games are painted in a bad light I personally don’t think the newest fnaf game is half bad the story feels like fnaf the games still pretty scary although it lost a lot of the uncanny valley feel with the new personalities but otherwise it’s a good game and I’ve experienced barley any glitches

FNAF started out as a game establishing a new genre that it kept to for the first four games, spawning numerous clones. It then branched out to be an rpg, a tycoon game, a brawler, a VR game, an Augmented Reality game and now a free-roaming game.
Anyone who expect a bugfree experience in a free-roaming title haven't been a gamer very long. In the end of the 90'ies Fallout 2 was severely criticized for the same things. My favorite series in early y2k were the Gothic series that barely held themselves together. All three titles by Troika are historical and liked, but were broken mess at launch. And just looking at contemporaries both Rock Star Entertainment and Bethesda kind of dropped making this type while Ghost Recon: Breakpoint crashed Ubisoft who are the grandmasters of the genre.
It's not that they lack Quality Assurance and polishing. The style of game are just too big to expect a bugfree experience. As a gamer you need to make a choice if you expect perfection or not and if you have long-term experience you already know what to expect from open world games.

Honestly as much as I love fnaf to death just end it. Security breach isn’t scary. It caters to kids and takes away the real horror that this series is about. Why would you make a game about possessed animatronics with dead bodies inside them catering to kids. Nothing other than money is the only rational reason because it’s ruined the whole franchise for me it’s tainted now because it doesn’t make sense that there’s a massive facility after confirmed murders from a pizzeria that decides to continue under the same name and have animatronics that don’t even act like robots they act like quirky my little pony characters. End it
the fans got a glitchy game because they forced steel wool to rush it.
I just hope I will be able to live to see the full lore
