In December 2019, COVID started spreading in China while the rest of the world didn’t pay attention. After stopping the “zero-covid” policy, Omicron is ravaging across China now. We must keep an eye on China’s situation, so we don’t repeat the same mistakes from 3 years ago. The Chinese government does not release actual pandemic data. Chinese netizens and media outside China have estimated casualties and projected that the current waves will continue into the spring.

    You're splitting hairs mate.
    They might call themselves that Communist Party of whatever the f***. But there's nothing communist about them except their efficiency at killing their own people the unifying common link that all of the so called self titled communist regimes of the last 100 years share. Whether you refer to them as the Chinese communist party or the Communist Party of China or the CCP or the polyp bureau or the friggin wankers hat run the show in Beijing make very little difference to the substance of arguement being made in a thoughtful and serious way to people who are genuinely trying to communicate and not at each other. The Pettiness of your statement reminds me of a joke that for some reason for some reason or thin Vale sarcasm Foxtel remaining somewhat civil, has just popped into of my head front of mind and seems appropriate to mention it in my response to your statement.

  13. Looking at your heading and skipping through your video, and just by observing global trends, I see the short answer as yes. So then, that begs the question why? well, imho, the answer is very very simple. Globally, there are a bunch of useless individuals who do not/did not have the steel to last the distance. Of what? Of isolating, social distancing, quaranting for the necessary amounts of time, of vaccinating, of masking, of thinking past their own selfish needs and greed. That also includes businesses who thought so short term that they have destroyed economies. (what do I mean? – easy – shut everything down for 3 months. Sure, no profits, but after 3 months – no covid. But nooooo their bottom line meant everything and now …. well, 3 years later the planet still has this scurge. Maybe we should rename it the "greed virus")

    Starting with the most obvious. A virus CANNOT move. People move it. If people did not move around, then the virus could not spread.

    Naturally, people will use the pathetic argument/excuse that "we need to shop to get food". That could have been remedied by gov control and delivery of necessities – a big task? sure! but that would be better use of military than fighting "people". Getting food and other supplies is a logistics problem, NOTHING MORE!!!

    The business angle of this is mentioned above.

    There were cases MANY CASES of people being sneaky and having "underground parties" everything from just bucking the system and sneaking to someone's house just down the road through to I recall a bloody jewish wedding where that ceremony and reception turned into a super spreader event.

    Then there were the protesters — they demand their rights to BE FREE. But with rights, come responsibilities. Their "freedom" became a literal death sentence for others as their marching without masks or social distancing cause …. yep ….. you guessed it …. super spreader events.

    Th same "freedom logic" applied to anti-vaxers. It's amazing that they reject the science of vaccines but accept the science of machines to help them keep breathing.

    I used to joke about cartoons of lemmings happily running off the edge of a cliff.

    But, alas, those filthy, anti-vax, anti-mask, crowding, law breaking, protesting lemmings have destroyed the opportunity to defeat this virus.

    And now, it has become ever harder to politically solve this disaster.

    Thank you to all those filthy maggots who thought of themselves before society and may I say, even their own loved ones. I hope those of you that fit that category all don't die, but suffer the full effects of long covid

    Oh, and by the way, I could bet good money that right through the lockdowns in China, there would have also been those self entitled arseholes who thought themselves so important that rules did not apply to them. Either the simpletons who dribbled their way around the place with no care for anybody or anything else or even those swish money hungry pieces of filth who would still travel from place to place or even overseas dropping little pockets of covid like a fly would leave its droppings as it flew from one place to the next.

    See? This is NOT a racist thing. This is a human filth thing. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. And as I see it, the problem makers have succeeded.

I was hesitant to click this video because so many pink soldiers and white and black monkey job doers for China are more likely see on YouTube than the people who stood up for the truth disregarding their inconvenient and threat not only fifty percent of Chinese armies but also threat from YouTube’s shadow band and demonization.
    Im glad to see this video and I am the latest subscriber of this minute.

  16. The mortality of COVID is probably around 1%. Thus, anecdotes about how your friends have not died is irrelevant.
    It is only going to be evident in the numbers in your town or city. It could be a little milder but those estimates are based on populations with partially vaccinated and exposed populations with health care systems experienced with COVID. The worst it would be is around 1.6%, the rate back in 2020. Its not the plague and its not the flu.
    However, if these rates are anywhere near accurate, we are talking about a potential 10 million deaths in China if CCP continues on this crazy strategy. The purpose of a lockdown is a temporizing measure until vaccines and drugs become available. China has no effective vaccines or drugs because they spent the greater part of 2020 spreading self-serving propaganda, disputing the effectiveness of the US vaccines and promoting their own vaccine, based on older technologies and don't work so well. Now they don't want to lose faith by buying the vaccines that (and good drugs such as paxolovid).

  17. Isn't it obvious?? All the nutty lock down protocols they did prevented the population from establishing natural immunity in the population slowly over time. Now very few have immunity and it's breaking out like it did everywhere else 1 and 2 years ago.

  20. If someone is sick with Wuhan covid virus or pneumonia or a cold, they should stay inside if possible. Those who are healthy should go to work, sport, etc. and not have to wear a mask, unless they want to.

PRC government lied about Covid 19 from the very beginning- with regards to its origins, it’s mode of transmission (PRC officials initially announced “no human to human transmission” January 14, 2020), its failure to control covid 19, cover up and manipulation of data/statistics, and even permissive spread of covid 19 after realizing the government’s failure to control domestically so as to contaminate the whole world and bring the misery worldwide ! Deceptive diplomacy, trolled propaganda, cover up,malicious censorship , and misinformation in global proportions! PRC government acting as champions with regards to covid 19 intervention by introducing the infamous “zero covid 19 policy” to mask its grand fiasco. Something to show to the people of China and the world that PRC government is doing its job! But the way Zero covid policy was implemented – it was inherently insensitive, rigid and inhumane. Zero covid policy was harming the people more than the covid 19 virus! Zero covid 19 policy was curtailing freedom and basic human rights! Zero covid policy was more for state propaganda rather than a genuine medical /humanitarian aid. Zero covid policy has turned its citizens into subjects for a state sponsored experiment much like the “one child policy”. Zero covid policy has backfired because Chinese people are no longer citizens but mere subjects of the state ! Without true transparency, freedom of press and speech and presence of totalitarian administration, a genuine and effective approach towards the management of covid 19 in China will be very difficult to achieve. PRC government misinformation and mismanagement of covid 19 can no longer be taken for granted. Zero covid policy started August 2021, approximately 6 months prior to Beijing Winter Olympics February 2022. PRC government chose to host the Olympics at all cost, even with the threat of increasing covid 19 cases even though zero covid policy was being implemented. In contrast to Japan, Japanese government listened to its medical experts and people, so Japan set aside national pride and honor- POSTPONED the TOKYO SUMMER OLYMPICS 2020 by one year, with limited local spectators only. PRC government's fascist national pride and honor, limiting other options like the use of Pfeizer or Moderna vaccines/medicines for their citizens. WIth world class economy, world class medical experts, world class medical logistics, and world class surveillance, preventing spread of Covid 19 outbreak from becoming a pandemic will put doubts in the minds of people….. in my opinion, PRC government allowed "permissive spread of covid 19" outside Mainland China!

  37. Zero Covid was not intended to eliminate the disease in China. It was weaponized by Xi to consolidate his political power and become president for life so he can continue his plans to dominate the world. If he truly wanted to end Covid in China he should have e worked with the WHO and have acquired more effective vaccines from the US. The world is done with Covid but China is still reeling from it. Perhaps the Chinese people should opt for a more democratic way of finally ending their misery.

  44. Dr Tedros the who director is a person promoted by the CCP. His loyalty to CCP is stronger than to the Chinese public or for that matter to science and public health. He was busy denying the severity of Covid in December 2019 for at least a month complying with the dictat of the CCP. The case fatality rates are too high for Omicron B1 or B1.1 and this needs to be addressed by virologists. Also Ibuprofen is a bad choice for treatment of fever with a lot of kidney toxicity and asthma exacerbation risk. Since China baught over journals like Lancet and NEJM the percentage of Chinese articles had gone up. Where has that Chinese medical talent gone.? In an ageing society an epidemic will wreck havoc. And if youth are affected more because of mobility the social costs in four adult single child families is going to be enormous. The Chinese vaccine obviously is useless . Other countries should impose travel ban on China otherwise we will have resurgence of the pandemic……I say this as a pulmonary and critical care physician from India with full academic responsibility.
