  1. Hate that this is coming out now with the rediculaus cost of cars and the chip shortage going on. I'm ready to buy a new car but am going to wait until things calm down but by then I fear that a car with manual transmission will be extinct and I NEED my stick !

  2. I'm hoping the redesign included some interior space. The back seat on the previous Corolla hatchback was really tight. If so, this could be a contender for me. It's a really nice package. Maybe a CHR version could come out down the road.

  3. Pretty exciting new car. 1.3L with 300hp? Even with legendary Toyota engine durability, that's going to put a lot of stress on a tiny engine. I would wait 2 years before considering a purchase to see if that engine is up to the job for the long run. By then the prices should normalize.

  4. I watched the review and it was amazing. Toyota did an amazing job. I would park the Toyota GR Corolla in my garage. Thank you for the review Raiti's Rides. Lori's the best ever. ♥️

  5. I’ve been saving up for 3 years for this. I figured it’ll run me between 39-42k for everything I wanted in my GR. As much as I want this, I’m not willing to pay 10-20k over those numbers. Dealer mark ups are going to be insane unless Toyota steps in.

  6. YES!! With no more evo or STi, I’m glad someone had the balls to step up and try to step it up! Thank you Toyota and thank you Honda. And this is coming from an STi guy!!! Love your vids KEEP IT UP

  7. Looks really cool and excited to see this in person. Not a huge deal because I don’t really modify my cars much anymore, but how much power potential will be left in the engine? If they are already squeezing it to 300 hp out of a 3 cylinder, how much is really left to get out of it?

  8. All I ask is for Toyota to not allow dealer mark ups and perhaps make buyer sign an agreement not to sell the car for 12 to 24 months. Dealer mark ups are the devil. With mark ups they won’t sell as well and if they don’t sell as well Toyota won’t make as many.

  9. May be this will revive the hot hatch market and get people out of those stupid SUVs. I suppose we will have this car, the GTI, the Civic type R and the Mazada 3 turbo hatch. I say we need a Ford Focus RS to complete the group

  10. By the third year, I will get one. Dealerships are playing hide the price games and jacking prices through the roof. In around 3 years, should get back to normal.

  11. Great for Toyota, an I3 1.6 turbo with 300 hp / 273 tq, an AWD system that drivers have a choice of 60-40, 50-50, or 30-70 power distribution, front and rear wheels, the GR Corolla only comes as a manual transmission, you’ve got too like those 3 individual exhaust tips, all the good news, now to this, if Toyota had an I3 turbo engine in development, one wonder assume somebody at Toyota known of this and still yet they needed BMW to make the Supra, Toyota come of easily did an I6 3.0 turbo engine with equal or more power than the current BMW unit in it, so, it goes to show, Toyota didn't care about the Supra or a new-gen I6 engine, that could have been used in several Toyota / Lexus RWD models, no they stuck with the V6 3.4 turbo, great, only if, the fact that Mazda and even Stellantis has new I6 engines is even more worrying about Toyota

  12. Still, nothing tops the ‘99 CTR.

This hatch is tight but at certain angles, how the back slopes unfortunately looks like a smart car. I can’t unsee that. From the rear it reminds me of a Mazda 3.
