  1. This took a whole month for player counts to start to dip. That’s is weeks longer than most games (1-2 weeks). If anything the fact that it took this long, and that the player counts are strong shows just how much longevity this game has.

Keep in mind that the completed multiplayer, which will be where we see the majority if people play, is not even out yet.

  2. The game is almost unplayable, the community is more toxic than I expected, official servers are full of hackers, there's no pvp or endgame content, xbox does not even have dedicated servers, it's meant to be a survival game but you just need to eat and not die in combat and if you do the punishment is laughable and not to mention the ridiculous amount of weirdos wanting the devs to implement romance with the pals in the game

  3. I do hope the devs make good content at a decent time frame at a time. This drop in players sound normal to me. My friends and I just finished ourselves. We bred our perfect teams, caught the pals, beat all towers. It's done. Nothing else to do. We had fun tho. When updates come. We will come back

  4. It's an alpha. Of course most players will leave. There's just not much to do when you've beaten the towers; only the "hardcore" players will do copious amounts of breeding and crafting. Hopefully it gets a proper storyline and more things to do (especially cities/settlements/sidequests) in the next couple years.

  5. Obviously the player base decreases as there is absolutely 0 to do once youre 50 and got everything you want in your base and the pals you want. There is no reason to continue to play. What did they expect?

  6. For me it was clear it is a game I will play until I reached my goals, put it down and come back from time to time when I feel like it or there is new content. It's how games should be imo. Also, seeing how even the achievement for catching the first pal is unfinished by some noticeable percentage of people, I guess some people just start the game and find out their hardware isn't going to do.

  7. When will pocketpair fix the dedicated servers, I want to rent a server to play with my friends, but I see a lot of people getting their servers crashing and unable to load due to storage problems. Are pocketpair looking into this issue?

  8. lolno

There isn't too much to do after a certain point. Honestly, I'm waiting for the next big update and/or for a few good mods to have and for the modding scene to pop off. Once people get a hold of how to mod Palworld, that should keep people busy enough until the next update comes along.

I hope Mods get easier to installed AND get highlighted. Modding can keep the game going much longer than not.

  9. It’s expected, once you finish what is currently available in the game then all there is left is to wait for new content, it’s the thing with live service game… even if it’s in early access as well.

I’m taking it easy on the game due to the limited time I have to play… this happens to me all the time with all games

  10. I haven't even played Palworld yet, but I really wouldn't be worried.

It's only early access, so there's probably only so much you can do right now. The numbers definitely prove people are interested in the style of the game (and I do mean game play, not just the Pokemon-like pals). Once updates come in, and the game is finally finished, they'll all come back. I don't see this as JUST a novelty.

Really depends on the FINAL product if something ends up lackluster that causes people to leave. And that only turns into a bigger problem if the game is more online mass multi-player based (maybe even pvp) rather than pve based.

We got a long way to go to see. I think it's good people showed interest with Palworld, even as a Pokemon fan XD.

  11. i say no need to worry its not like other games now a days where they HAVE to keep playing and them trying to steal all your money thankfully. getting tired of that greedy micro transaction bs in games

  12. Anybody who expected player counts to stay at record levels with a early access $30 game just doesnt understand the industry.

Its crazy how many are still playing with the limited early access content only, game has so much more to offer in the future.

  13. I agree with everything you said, I usually like to take my time with video games, you know, just see everything they have to offer, when I put the game down, I usually intend to come back to it eventually, for example, if I beat an older Pokémon game, I intend to come back to it and play it again, because I had so much fun beating it the first time, kind of like I did with Pokémon emerald, I’ve beaten that game more than 7 times right now I’m on my 8th play through

  14. I'm not concerned about that, but something else. To be honest, I am in the minority opinion but I'm more concerned about server cost and the focus on official. Now I could be wrong, and people can correct me but do most people even bother with offical servers in survival games? Most I've heard they're bad. So it feels like a money sink on something that might not be a big pay off. Plus I'm not sure there is a way to check how many people just play local or dedicated servers versus official ones.

  15. I hit level 50 in palworld and filled my boxes up with pals and there just doesn't seem like anything else to do with now. The butchering of pals is kind of too slow but I'm not worried about it 'dying' it's barely just begun

  16. Honestly I was surprised/annoyed that this even became a topic because this is just the nature of games. The highest concurrent play count is usually right around a launch or content release; it always falls after that. The people using it as ammo to hate the game in particular is pretty ridiculous; people who really hate something will typically seek out more justification for that opinion. Goodness gracious.

  17. It’s beta release and did better than most finished games. Which the standard of finished is almost laughable at this point. Shoutout to Starfield and SV Pokémon. Multi billion dollar companies. With almost limitless budget. I’m sure Palworld will do fine. I look forward to its future. And I truly hope Pokémon games step it up. Can only blame the software for so long before people realize oh wait isn’t Botw almost a decade old? TOTK release beside SV about yet both are barely comparable to gameplay graphics and let’s be honest polished release end product. Step it up Pokémon. Been with you guys for decades sense late 90s. Yet the gameplay is still press A that’s the whole battle. A.a.a wait I should run. A. Step it up.

  18. I found out that palword has no story mode but if there is, maybe:
    – since they introduce the poachers "rayne syndicate", it would be great to have an option to choose factions to start with
    – another faction could be the guardians that fight to save the pals from being abused by the poachers
    – could make pals look different between the 2 factions, based on the environments that they're being raised
    – different skill trees and technologies with the 2 factions, by having balance of course
    – the main plot could be conquest vs defenders of the 2 factions over the palworld region
    – sentient npc pals could be introduced in both factions to help navigate through the story, backstory of how they attain sentience could be engaging
    – legendary, elite or transcdence type pal could be introduce to shake up the power balance in the story between 2 factions
    – the towers could hide a deeper meaning and importance than they look
    – maybe have ancient tools, technologies or treasures that could grow the story further

  19. Player count fall is natural. It happens in all games. A simple research we should notice it happens to all popular games. Pubg had 1.6 millions player at one time in 2018, and slowly falls down. By 2019, they only have around 200k players till now.

  20. Single and co-ops game released pop then regular pop but the money is in updates for palworld if the devs pick to become an mmo later that would be golden especially if they have pal v pal battles, player pal v player pal, players v wave attack and defense end game content and if they focus on developing the game with mmo paid subscription with merchandise they can become a rival to Pokémon

  21. "Im not worried" ppl say as they fail to acknowledge the fact Palword's devs have a shady history of never updating their games and leave them in "early access" hell for years coughCraftopiacough the money was already made, so they can simply leave the game to rot now as they go to work on their Hollow Knight ripoff

  22. Even if almost all of player done, there is still many who yet reach end game or even yet to play. When update come i can see the end game player will play again 😂, well as long as the game update still fun
