  1. 1. There is no reason for Thor to believe the Vikings are a First round exit team.
    2. Flores will likely be gone next year; strike while the iron is hot.
    3. Your idea of O'Neil to left tackle, Brandel to Right tackle, and Risner to left guard has more moving parts than a chop shop.

  2. Thor is so lock step with my thoughts it's like we share the same brain…which could be a problem for Thor. I mentioned on the PD episode that covered the trade that I "understood" why the Vikings made the deal, but this is not a SB caliber team IMO with or without Cam Robinson and a 4th round pick is fairly valuable so I wouldn't have made the trade. I'm not going to hammer Kwesi for doing so, but depleting yet another draft for a player who isn't going move the needle enough probably isn't the prudent move.

  3. I respect Thor and rarely disagree with him. But I 1. Don't think they gave up much and 2. Believe we got off to a good enough start to justify going on a run deep into the playoffs. As long as Darnold stays healthy, we are good and Super Bowl is not impossible with this roster & start.

  4. Thor is an imbecile. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. What he does not understand, and I hate to burst his bubble, but next year and the year after McCarthy is not going to play as good as Sam will this year. That’s the whole key. Plus the NFC is weak. Even in our weakened state this is the year to send your draft picks in and take your best shot.

  5. We're losing draft capital, but we're staying committed to winning. Trying to play it too safe, that's how you can lose a locker room. With that said, it will be a blunder if the team doesn't repay the commitment with some more winning, and winning a playoff game or two. It's a risk, but I would rather them make the risk than stand pat just for the sake of not wanting to give up picks. I like the balls of it, it's a big balls move.

Jordan Addison is projected to 45 receiving yards per game now by gambling sites ???
Is Mr Show Me The Money upset that he didn't get a new contract ? Or is he on track to become another Kwesi draft BUST ?

  7. I cant believe you have Vikings fans in here agreeing with a dude who thinks a team that is a 5-2 team in a NFC thats wide open is only good for a one and done in the playoffs?! Wth is wrong with these fans that trade was for a day 3 special teams player at best lol we get it you love the 25 version of this team but we're not playing for next year dude you focus on the now and Thor is just yappin at this point he know dang well Robinson isnt below average 😂😂😂 and dude stop crying about a draft from two years ago the team now is setup for success Kwesi has cleaned up alot of mess mainly salary from the last regime. And think about he could still actually bring in a blue chip trade before the deadline what's there to argue about?!!

  8. thors stance on not trading draft picks is always the same…hes against it…proven talent is worth more than maybes..kam ant drafted good either so why not get proven talent when its possible

  9. Thor is not taking into account that the Vikings could switch back to being good just as fast as they switched to being bad after a 5-0 start. You add Hock back in there, we get Cashman back, Flo makes some tweaks.. They cut down on some penalties.. We are right back in this thing. Judd is right that the team deserves a chance after such an impressive start. You can’t just leave it up to Quessenberry.

  10. If I have to hear Darnold say OBVIOUSLY another 50x in every press conference, I'm going to barf!!! Obviously someone needs to take him aside and say find something else to say dude!

  11. Totally understand Thor's trepidation and preference to hold onto draft assets.

As someone who values and appreciates the draft process (like Thor), it's a common fallacy/overlooked issue we have where we overvalue draft picks that mean nothing but "hope" until they're spent and more often than not result in less than desirable outcomes

Finally, I'd implore Thor to consider Kwesi's approach to team building with respect to draft picks when he makes claims about the lack of day 3 picks…let's dive a bit deeper:

    1. No draft pick is a guaranteed hit and certainly day 3 picks stand less of a chance of hitting

    2) Kwesi understands this and he's clearly shown his cards that he values and prioritizes building the Vikings Roster with known commodities or ones that stand the best chance (statistic and probability models) to succeed, typically found in the top of the NFL Draft

As such, Kwesi doesn't value day 3 picks when he can pony up more UDFA funds than other teams for equal chance dart throws in UDFA as those late day 3 picks

Rather, what Kwesi values are those premium picks in order to take more calculated dart throws at the top of the draft board with more obvious talent, which bodes for better chances of successful draft selections

Thus Thor, what Cam Robinson represents (even if I too didn't love the move), is a chance to be competitive with a known commodity at LT and avoid compromising the other spots of the OL moving Brandel and what not

Glad to have discourse with Thor at any time regarding this because I understand most don't seem to understand or view the Vikings Roster building in this way thanks to Kwesi Adofo-Mensah

  12. Typical Vikings, do just enough to remain mediocre and never do a complete rebuild. This is why we can't win the big one. We don't have a good interior offensive line, we don't have a dominant interior defensive lineman, and our secondary is old and slow. We surprised people at the beginning of the year, but now they are figured out and we missing a few more pieces then a Cam Robinson can bring. We aren't good enough with Darrisaw, what makes them think that Robinson makes us still relevant?

  13. The draft is thors SB, he clouded by that.

This trade does not compare to the Dobbs trade. Losing a qb is a death nail, left tackle while important isn’t the same and you can replace which they did.

This team to judds point has also earned it by banking wins and have looked dominate at times.

U play to win when you have a chance. I don’t know how anyone can say we don’t have a chance at being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC…and if that is true, which it is, there is a chance of a SB.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed and McCarthy is not the guarantee this show makes him out to be. If they are wrong about him, 2024 might be our window.

  14. My biggest issue with Thor's take is saying the Vikings are an at best 1st round exit team. There's a lot of football left in the season, but narrowly losing to a top 3 team (in a game that could've easily been a win) and losing a close game to the Rams (which hurts more but had questionable officiating to be nice) doesn't condemn the team. The trade deadline coming up soon makes it to where you don't have time to see if the first 5 games (6 really) or if the Rams game was a fluke. You've got much more tape that indicates this is a real team, if nothing else we can trade blows with or beat some of the best teams in the league.

  15. Window is open, I appt the Vikes rolling with the punches and making moves to stay competitive. IMO can’t underestimate keeping the winning mentality – why not the Vikes vs. yea we’re done for the year, any given Sunday that’s why they play the games.

  16. I don't have a problem with the trade for Robinson. Obviously you'd like to get these guys for nothing but that's not going to happen. We're sitting decent in the standings and anything can happen. I'd still trade two number ones now if you can lock up a quality D lineman for the future.

  17. I just don't understand all the football hand wringing. I see an 8-3 record after the next 4 games. This team has many weapons…finally playing all together for the first time this year. I'm excited! SKOL VIKES! 🏈
