  1. I am not playing this game , but i was always thinking why ppl not playing phoenix instead of voidray . My thoughts was exactly what classic did to lift queen and oracles can start shooting drones . It also eliminates mistakes like beam into queen with oracles because its extra drone you could kill . Also when you open with phoenix you have better scout options or you can follow the aggressive play style to do phoenix into 2 oracles into mass phoenix and mass shading guy and pretty much destroy whole economy and win game on the spot (blink upgrade 6-9 gateways and all in with third nexus as option)

  2. we don't have many huge moments in starcraft these days but rogue running in the corruptors and ultralisks with the dark swarm cover and obliterating the protos deathball was awesome

  3. I like to imagine Dark telling Rogue and Shin to play in everything when he takes a break so Lowko will continue to have a supply of Zerg Games to cast.

I hope that this Ultra strat becomes meta. This unit deserves its time to shine.

  4. 9:24 I thought Protoss didn't struggle when they got to late game. More like they just struggled to survive to late game. In that sense they were better off before than the Zerg is now post patch. At least Protoss still had a chance at winning late game pre patch.

can you ever just say someone got out played instead of letting your biases show dude? I hope to god you have nothing to do with the balance council….

  6. idk i feel uktra infestor corruptor viper is still gud. yes you cant abduct chonc mama anymore, but the tempests. and if toss wants to force and play into you, fungal parabomb and dont have you ruptors over the ultra heads. leave 12ish suply open for a stream of crackling runbys and that should be alright.

is that disproportionally hard to do compared to deathball? yes. but as a zerg player one kinda made that choice already didnt we

  7. As someone who hasn't played starcraft competitive in a decade and never particularly well, I would have won that game at any time from 10 minutes onwards. Repeatedly getting dropped by the same overlords?! Not reacting to Nydus at all? No attempt to shut down the zerg economy? Even just all armying the north side of the map and deleting the zerg economy after every bad recall.

  8. There's something wrong with zerg if they play late game near perfect like Rogue in game 1 and can't capitalize on the massive amount of mistakes their opponent makes, like in Classic's example, to get a decisive victory. We see it in TvZ but it's especially highlighted in TvP.

Classic died a death of 1000 self inflicted cuts.

  9. Protoss players: We cant win tournaments, we need buffs!!!!
also protoss players: have biggest number of players in GM
also protoss: Ihave supporior army with supperior size, over 40 supply more! I can recall it around with nexus and mothership!!! lets just wait in the middle of our bases, let zerg expand as much as he wants, and attack as much as he wants, no expanding, kinda doing nothing just die, slowly…. 0 play, if this is one of the best protoss, I can see why protoss cant win tournaments… literaly skill issues

  10. Lately I played a 2v2 and was using skytoss. Carriers really only tickle ultra's. You really need immortals and archons to buffer. I don't know how effective tempest are against ultra's?

  11. After watching so much her0 and maxpax, game 1 was extremely frustrating to watch. That was such sloppy unit and map control.

I didn't even watch game 2 because I felt it wouldn't be worth my time to just get annoyed by Classic's play.

  12. That's a skill difference there. There was no reason for Classic to lose that first game. i would have hunted down those Droplords with EXTREME prejudice and then made a push across the south side of the map.

  13. Another thing that rogue did amazingly was after pulling the protoss army out of position pouncing on it when it moves back into place and pulling one to 5 big units out of it. Drastically improving how much damage the runby or nydus did. Death by a thousand cuts…and Ultras

  14. zerg supposed to have a weak late game as a compensation of all rush ability , in early and mid game, but its not, they have a powerful late game, only weakness is fewer building to destroy, in exchange of full map control with creep…boring game play, spend all time to inject, and cast creep tumors, in compensation of better win chance

  15. I only recently started watching SC2 again after about an 8-9 year break, but I don't recall a time in which Protoss wasn't the ultimate late-game faction. From archon toilets and immortals with hardened shields, to psionic storms, feedback and units like the colossus destroying bio armies in seconds, it was rarely possible to win a head-on collision against a Protoss death ball as Zerg. The solution was always to be aggressive and prevent the Protoss from reaching their desired end-game, or, failing that, outmaneuvering their units using your superior mobility.

On the subject of the double phoenix build, I wonder as well why it's fallen out of fashion. Phoenixes are super good at preying upon overlords, and a handful of them can easily deal with queens and deal devastating damage to a mineral line as well. But maybe they were nerfed? Or was the spore crawler buffed?
