We're gonna be sussing out the definition of Christian nationalism for a while yet. I liked Torba's brief take on it, Wolfe's is on my shelf waiting in line (behind Calvin's Institutes).
I've seen opposition to "Christian nationalism" under the assumption "nationalism" necessarily equals a form of idolatry. I'd rather debate the ideas behind the term than get stuck on the outer label, if it's going to be a stumbling block.
But also, let's not cede the linguistic territory outright to the secularists. They've already taken more of the dictionary than should have been allowed.
You could make the same case for the terms “Christian,” “Baptist,” “Reformed,” etc. Certainly these terms all have some negative connotations in the minds of some. I don’t think we should we run these terms either, as they can also be shrewdly and correctly applied.
Around the 51:00 mark—Joe Boot calls that “caesaropapism” in his book Ruler Of Kings. When “Caesar” runs and controls the church.

Brother Joel, my only problem with this is that we start to identify with specific political policies and laws instead of identifying with Christ. It happened with Trump where Christians started to make friends and even and idol of him because they thought he would fight for the church and bring Christian politics…but truth is we cannot be friends we with the world in any sense because that makes us an enemy of God…and I think it's obvious that unrepentant man was not of God. God may have used him for a season, but he was not our savior and no political figure can be.
I have been watching your videos on theonomy and anytime I watch, I wonder about this Christian nationalism along with the 7 mountain mandate, both of which I disagree on the grounds that Jesus did not make the political his focus. You might say "reneder to Caesar" or "pray for those in authority" of which both I agree…but the Apostles themselves asked a question of theonomy/theocracy and Jesus told them to not even worry about it, and to focus on the gospel.

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Once Jesus said this, the apostles no longer concerned themselves with the policy of the government. And in honesty, I don't think we should either.
Maybe this is too general, but it seems your goal is to make every nation a Christian nation on a policy level, but that was never the goal of Jesus nor his disciples.
I am not saying that we throw away the law of God or that it is not applicable….but the truth is that we aren't going to win the world by preaching the law of God through the vessel of politics. We win the world by preaching the gospel from the streets, our homes and the pulpit. In turn, we let God be God and for Him to choose where his power is made manifest regarding politics, lest we find ourselves fighting against God. The Word says God sets up and takes down rulers, not us in our theocratic endeavors.

Trying to have neutrality with secularists is like you and your friend trying to get together and meet up. You live in Florida and he lives in Pennsylvania and you both agree to meet in the middle. Unfortunately, your friend insists California is in the middle and you definitely know California is not in the middle and is also a craphole.
At 1:01:53 yes to clear distinctions between crimes and sins. But you also want blasphemy to be criminalized? I disagree that the public vs. private nature is key, e.g. domestic abuse in a home is a crime.
Christian Nationalism should begin with the international Church, which has always been the alpha and omega forms of God’s kingdom on earth, from creation to consummation. The Church is called the “holy nation” by Peter because the only way the other nations of the earth are going to be “Christianized” or “heavenized,” is through the Spirit working through Christ’s Holy Church. And this approach to Christian Nationalism will be the ONLY way to keep this movement from becoming just another form of “white nationalism,” or “neo-Nazi nationalism,” or even just another version of “American nationalism.”
The one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church is the only true epicenter of any kind of biblical Christian Nationalism and Internationalism (and even Intranationalism). The Church, and Her apostolic mission to the various nations, is the ONLY way that the various ethnoi (nations) of the earth are going to come under the Christocratic rule of the Christ.
