  1. One thing I notice is that the HUD is under-cluttered and what is on it is not entirely here, while menus have a ton of clutter with a font that forces me to squint to even read it. Other than that it looks pretty cool.

  2. Been following this for a while and agree with other commenters, please consider switching the games fonts. You might be used to it from seeing it all day, but it's really difficult to read. The text is very dense and descriptions with long text are quite hard on the eyes to read, which a more accessible font would really help with. I think the player experience will be harmed quite a bit by this considering text is such a critical part of any RPG game which I think could harm your success. Maybe try out something like Shin Go Regular or New Rodin Pro, and reduce the font outline where it is not necessary, to let it breathe a bit. If it's really difficult to read in a YouTube video on a phone in landscape mode then it might be worth paying attention to.

  3. I feel the game has lots of scope creep…
    – Unique Elemental Monsters
    – RPG Experience
    – Open world with different Biomes
    – Questing System
    – Amazing Story

All theses are good in moderation but this seems like too much. Since it’s your “dream” game no one can tell you to stop but hopefully you will learn to “kill your darlings” at some point.

  4. It's good idea with the guide book. From UI perspective it looks great, however from UX perspective it's a disaster: There are 2 options:
    1. Basically what you did, it looks great, however it's pretty limited, let's say player wants to find specific monster, quest, item or smth but there are 100 monsters? they have to click 99 times > button?
    2. Another option is to implement some kind of search option either by providing input by player or by dropdowns: let's say you can choose item types or filters monsters by specific criteria. That for sure is a lot faster to search particular thing

To summarize: Your option would only work for such a small games with 10 monsters, 10 items etc. If you want to expand the game in the future you should think about implementing search or filtering in each category – that would lead to really good user experience.

    Keep up good work!

  5. I recommend reviewing the use of font, specifically that used to display information. Examples at 3:49, 3:53 and 2:48. It's really harsh on the eyes, especially the long descriptions in the journal. Find someone familiar with typography and have them give your game a little "readability audit" – I think it'll do wonders for the game's presentation which is, otherwise, very pleasant!
