  1. When it comes to gaming, I know I play a lot of video games myself, but if you decide completely stop playing Id support it 100%, since, as you've said you can be doing something more productive, but if you insist on continuing, in your case, you can make the best use of gaming through your channel since you said it yourself, you've built your channel around it, so you can still make use of it. However when it comes to playing games for the sake of fun, at least make sure all your jobs or whatever you need to do are all done before you enjoy hopping on, and make sure you manage that time

  2. As long as you are having fun and not overdoing it video games are fine in my opinion.
The time is not 'wasted' if you are having a good time. It's not that deep

  4. Ken I think video games are fun and can create a lot of great memories, especially some really nice online games with friends or single player games with astonishing stories. But I do think that, if you believe if something else you could be doing is better for your future and is definetly more productive, than you should be doing that instead. I see gaming as a way to spend your free time, just like watching movies or tv shows etc. I also think though, lets say you have a lot of free time, you shouldnt spend all of it by playing video games, maybe go to the gym, hangout with friends or try to improve yourself. The only way I see gaming can be healthy and can be beneficial to a person is if it adds something to them and doesnt take away too much. I think its a great hobby but one that should be had with balance just like any other hobby. I hope this helps, keep posting I love ur vids.

  5. IMO I think gaming can drag you down. It’s time consuming, distracting and it can give a false sense of achievement which can be dangerous long term. After playing video games it is common for me to feel unhappy that I wasn’t studying and working hard but then again video games can be useful for building friendship. I personally also think that having friends opens yourself to betrayal and heartbreak, toxicity etc which will drag you down. (ikr I’m such a cuckoo) I did meet the friend I had always dreamed to have a few years ago and it changed everything, helped me keep breathing and heart pumping 😏.
Video games can help people escape their world and forget. I personally spend most of my time alone with my piano (I absolutely love Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern era music) (also I study music soo umm I kinda need to). Music helps me forget and moves me to a different world. (Personally life is just me non stopped bullied at school although its started to improve last few years:)). It’s literally a drug. Playing music is slightly like playing video games. The worlds of music and video games are infinitely expansive as well. Some people spend their entire lifetimes on music yet they are not close to experiencing everything. This is maybe a positive in gaming as well but of course there needs to be a balance because it is common for people who study music seriously to mentally deteriorate (examples like Robert Schumann or Vladimir Horowitz who are outstanding musicians). So it can be a little hard. The difference with music is that you can’t really interact with with the general population which makes this isolating. I have no one close to talk to about music yet everyone will think of me as a pianist only. “He has ‘talent’”. There is no such thing. It’s every day of wasting your life. I am just a shell of what I once was. So it is almost the same result as playing video games all day every day. 😂 Another difference is that music can be horribly demanding with the expectation of no failure. It is almost like the Japanese samurai mindset which is a little hard (maybe it is in lots of different things too).
So I think there are positives and negatives with video games but like most things in life, it will drag you down.

TLDR: yes I am the type of person who can’t stop rambling about rubbish. I apologise if this is hard to understand, I’m tired. 😂

Edit: forgot to mention that both video games and music help to express ourselves and develops our own voices.

  6. I think its like eating junk food or candy or drinking alcohol. You know its kinda pointless/unhealty, but is enjoyable in the moment. You just need to find the right balance to be happy, but also not overdo it. Because I think, a life that isn‘t enjoyable and where you just work all the time is also a waste.
(You could also read, which is productive in a way but can also be fun. But pls let me have my metaphor)

  7. I think if you're earning from it somehow
or are genuinely interested in it but in a healthy amount it's pretty good imo.

Atleast as long as you are able to function
as a normal social human being IRL and
don't have any dreams that you're procrastinating on with gaming
    then yeah, go for it!

  8. I know that everyone is fixed on productivity and society lowkey demands it. But how far can u push urself? And if u did would u be happy? Imo it is batter to take time of when u need it but preferably do sth that u wanted to do but didn't have time.

  9. you guys are defending it hard, but you need to try a few weeks where you don’t game and you do the most work that you can, seeing the most people that you can and making real life experiences. then compare

  12. Simply too much of a good thing is bad but that is for the average person if someone like you for example is making money out of gaming it isn't a waste of time and if someone plays from time to time to be happy it's 100% positive but when you make it ur hole life and ur not making anything out of it then yes it is but just a hobby it's great

  13. Andrew Tate is bloody moron, and gaming is not a waste of time as long as you enjoy doing it. If you only game for the sole purpose of gaming and not for fun, then you could say it is a waste of time

  14. I think taking anything to the extreme is bad for you in the long run, but as long as you have other things to do in life and you have friends to play games with and you enjoy yourself while gaming, then there's nothing wrong with it

  15. I think Tate bought that topic of video games in regard to the topic of making money and productivity….. As long as you play it very limited or can make financial benefits from it I think gaming is very nice…..

  16. Videogames give you an unrealistic sense of progression and that's why they can become addicting. I think as long as you have a healthy relationship with gaming and just dopaminergic stuff in general it's fine and can be a great hobby tho. Just make sure you know the line between gaming as a hobby vs gaming as a dopamine addiction and ur good

  17. everybody in the comments are coping
video games will never ever be beneficial in anyway.
everybody says that they aren't addicted but they are all lying to themselves. because i used to (and still somewhat am) in this same trap where everybody convinces themselves of complete BS.
KFC, do not listen to the average person here. they are all lying to themselves because they know they are completely addicted and will not admit up to it.
my main problem with video game addicts is that they don't even admit that it's bad for you, they just cope with stupid nonsense like "if you finish all your work and blah blah blah and you can make so many friends!", video games will distract you from truly reaching a high level of work and any friends that are made through bad habits like video games or partying are not your friends. only the friends that stay with you on your self improvement journey are your friends

  18. At the end of the day, nothing really matters. The muscles you worked so hard to get will die with you, your hard earned cash won’t mean anything when you die and have no way to spend it, and everything that you achieved will go away. So really, what isn’t a waste of time? Many people might argue that video games do nothing, but what does spending all your time doing something productive do when it’s all over? It’s definitely okay to play video games, as long as you do other things to balance it out. Cause at the end of the day, what makes you happiest is the only thing worth doing.

  19. Nowadays it's a waste of time, gaming transpired from a niche hobby that used to be created by passionate people in love with the hobby, and there still is some today, but as time went on it has become a cespit for making you become addicted to shitty games that doesn't even make you feel happy playing it, as well as but loads of cosmetic bundles for you to buy, gaming is just awful Nowadays due to the industry more so than not, I'd say the only games that would be worth your time is single player games where the developers can't shove down cosmetic bundles for items down your throat, the only issue is if it's a rushed game, which can be seen by playing atleast the first hour of it.
Not saying video games have to give you a benefit to be good, but is it not a waste of time when you're more often than not mad at the game?

This is coming from somebody that when first saw people like Dr.K thought he was like the typical boomer that doesn't understand video games,
Also I'd say the best productive thing you can do for yourself besides video games is going to the gym, it makes you feel better and elevates your overall quality of life

  20. I feel like you can't "be productive" all the time though, that's like wanting to give up your unconscious part of your brain for more productivity (which is obviously not the case).
Humans have been able to have free time since the birth of our species pretty much, which led to us being able to think about stuff or try stuff to get more productive in surviving. Nowadays there aren't really any challenges to surviving in a developed state, so we just use our time on games for example.
As with all things in life, the amount makes things harmful, so you could say that "gaming" in the sense of the cult-like community overclocking their processors that use as much power as a vacuum cleaner and do nothing but play games is a waste of time that doesn't gain you anything really. Casual gaming with friends can be a nice waste of time that doesn't harm you and can maybe even motivate you to do other things. Game design is all about tricking you as the player into doing tedious things without finding them tedious, by giving us reasons, rewards for example. Surprisingly complex question that can probably only be answered more specifically by someone who knows more about neurology (for example neuroplasticity).
I hope this comment is somewhat readable, there might be a slight German accents and bad sentence structure (too long).
