You said your Rook looks like Zelda, the reality is that Rook acts like Link, breaking jars and crates for loot 😉
10:54 I love Harding also and is my planned romance. I was disappointed when she disapproved me 2 times 😅.
Cullen's romance was my first in DAI. I enjoyed it a lot, but Dorian's was my favorite in DA (no one beats Garrus).
The facial animations aren't as good as BG3, but they're a big improvement over MEA, imo. I think my Rook is emoting pretty well.
My Hawke is alive because I say that she is. I don't need Bioware to tell me. I was initially disappointed to not see her again, but if she's not in the game, then that means my headcanon can't be contradicted. I'm still salty about the Varric romance that never was, though 😭
Absolutely worth it
I won't be playing it because I'm not interested in any Dragon Age games, and I don't feel its worth it to start here. I'm glad you're having fun, though. 😊
Not worth it
Hell yes! I'm 80 hours in and in act 2 and having the best time! It's so fun & the combat is great & I love the companions
Not worth it…
No, absolutely not. I'd rather sleep on razor blades
Ive played each previous game probably 10x and I'm almost in Act 3 of this one and I'm enjoying it a lot. I hope you do as well. 🖤
About 20 hours in and I’m honestly pretty bored due to the lack of roleplay and the quality of the writing. I’m going to finish it but I doubt I’ll do a second playthrough.
Maybe for one playthrough just to see the trainwreck first hand
Short answer: no.
You’re getting a lot of dramatic comments thanks to that title😂I hope you aren’t discouraged and keep playing! If you were able to make it through Andromeda this should be no problem. IMO this game is leagues better than that. I had the same thoughts about the facial expressions initially, but I think I just got used to them? It feels like the faces in any game look weird after experiencing the expressive characters in BG3.
Cullen's romance is my fave too. Had me giggling and kicking my feet! Though, for this playthrough, I actually set my inquisitor's romance to Solas because I thought it might add some spice and drama 😂I think I’m still only in act 1, but I’m not really feeling that excitement with any of the companions. I like them all, but for romance— ehhhhh. Curious to see who you end up being drawn to or if you’ll just be pining for Varric forever💀
im enjoying it! And enjoying watching!
Yes, absolutely! This a really fun game so hope you continue.
I was looking for a true RPG, but I like action RPGs as well, and this a gorgeous game…though probably would enjoy more if I had not played the previous games (DAO is my favorite, followed by DAI), as there’s a feeling of missed opportunity.
Sadly no, not this time Kim 🙁. Bioware needs a good protest and they got it. They deserved it for butchering da. I have every games and books from Dragon Age and mass effect. Hard pass on this one. But if you like it then have fun out there🥰🥰🥰
I've played 20 hours and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's rare these days l love a game immediately, but this is one. Haven't made it too far with the main story but I'm really enjoying just getting lost in each beautifully designed level.
I wouldn’t know. I haven’t played it.
Girl, never apologise for having cats! We love them, even when they're noisy!
Please continue playing, if you can and feel like doing it!
I'm 100 hours in and totally enjoying the game, already locked in a romance and had a rollercoaster of emotions. I haven't played any Dragon Age games before (started Origins as a mage, but stopped after meeting two companions because that part of the game seemed boring to me). I will totally continue playing the DA trilogy after finishing this one, which got me into the franchise.
If this game is as bad as many people say it is, then the trilogy must be heavenly!
For me, the history repeats itself just as it did with the Mass Effect franchise (Andromeda got me to play the original trilogy)
And yes, the facial expressions seem a bit mismatched (like in Andromeda), but they never bothered me, especially since I am blind to facial expressions usually, can't tell one's emotions just by looking at them.
Once you advance in the game you can get loads of armors, weapons and helmets, you will have a lot to pick from.
Valuable items will help you, but not directly. You'll have to exchange them for gold when you see a merchant who accepts them.
And yeah, when seeing Strife's name I had the same reaction. "Your first name is Cloud, right?" xD
I love this game, lol. If you enjoy it, please keep playing!!! Most people hating on it haven’t even played it, they are just parroting the negative reviews. I’ve been a DA fan since Origins, I absolutely love DAO, DA2 and DAI, and I think DAV is wonderful (I have gripes, but nothing wildly different from my gripes about the other DA games). For me it makes sense that most of our decisions don’t carry over, because we are in no longer in southern Thedas. If you keep going there will be quite a few callbacks to the other three games ❤
Nobody tell Kim about Cullen's voice actor….yikes.
A solid 5 at best, pretty average. I am glad you are enjoying it and giving this game a chance.
I'm extremely happy that keeps playing it even though I never played yet but as long as she's happy that's all that matters, now if the game is as bad as people say there is a several lining that they're not going to do any DLCs for it and they decided to work on the next Mass effect game, that one is the game that I'm looking forward to playing in a few years
I think it's worth it. Veilguard is great. In spite of it's differences. I like the story and the combat. Great playthrough
I just started playing, and as my first dragon age game I'm enjoying it a ton, my only complaint is that you can't do combos with every ability that says applies and detonates
Just starting the video now but to answer the title question, yes. Yes it is.
92 hours in and it's awesome.
Give us more Kim. Iam loving your play through of veilguard.
I really appreciate your efforts! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Is it worth playing?
If you can ignore some god awful preachy political stuff, and you enjoyed Andromeda and Inquisition then the answer is maybe probably yes. Controls are solid , character creator is adequate aside from the weird qunari re-edit, the music is good. The production value is there, to bad they had to ruin the whole experience with a couple of super cringy, super preachy, cutscenes.
