  1. Thanks for excellent segment. Always enjoy Mike Sando's analysis on the game, but still think he under values Jared Goff. Here is one very telling statistic. In 2017, when Patrick Mahomes entered the NFL and Jared Goff became the day one starter for the Rams under Sean McVay, they are the two active QBs with the most wins in the NFL from 2017 to today. Mahomes has 71 wins and Goff has 60 wins. Tom Brady won 68 games from 2017 through 2022 before retiring after last season.
I bring this up because Brady always had the Bill Belichick albatross around his play like Goff had his albatross with Sean McVay where the question was always – Was it The Coach & System? or The Player? The media always framed it as one or the other for both players. Patrick Mahomes under Andy Reid (acknowledged as one of the most brilliant offensive coaches in the history of the game) has never worn the media albatross.
I do think the initial impressions when Brady and Goff were drafted had way too much sticking power. Brady was #199 and got viewed by many as a player that could not be great due to his low draft position. Also, his coach, Lloyd Carr, could not even decide on whether Brady or Drew Henson should be the Wolverines starting QB during Brady's senior season. Goff was always viewed as a number one pick who should not have been coming from a program that never won much. Goff had one winning season (his junior and final year in college) in three years at Cal. The Rams offense in 2016 was historically bad, and Goff was behind Case Keenum the first nine game of the season. Jeff Fisher was fired during the year and people wrote Goff off to this day over that start to his career and the Hard Knocks show that played in 2016. Why not just give rare and talented coaches and players their real due? Also, on the comment about Tua "almost out of the League" Kurt Warner was out of the League and a 29 year old back-up in 1999.

  2. Coach of the year shouldn't be a consideration for Dad Camble right now. His main concern should be getting his team ready to win the next game against the chargers.

Another top priority should be taking care of his players and coaching them to be their very best.

If he gets coach of the year or not isn't a really big concern.

As for the division title, it could come down to the Lions Vikings matchups. If one team sweeps the other, that team deserves the title.
