  1. at least EVGA takes care of their customers sending new cards out. Gigabyte is refusing many of the warranties. Gigabte cards also seem to have issues cracking the pcb new the express connectors.

  2. This is a repeat problem with American companies in my opinion, about the "dodgy" parts and choosing to pay lawsuits/claims later rather than doing it right the first time. It's like that one Ford model that would burst into flames if it got rear ended due to the gas tank location. Although this isn't nearly as much of an ethical/moral issue as that was.

It's like, we fork over thousands of dollars for NVidia's latest and greatest GPU only for it to have less than adequate workmanship on it. What does that tell you about our favourite GPU company?

  3. Nvidia had a driver that was killing new cards years ago, 400 series I think. It happens, wonder if you get an email from amazon with a card on sale when it does? lol. 3090 are stamped out as fast as they can make them, quality checks are low (like my spell check) I had a screw floating in my static bag, and it sucks you pay 1900 for a card and have to take it apart and fix the pads.

  4. I will not be playing New World until the problem is fixed. It’s seems to me the problem resides in the coding of the game. I’ve never ever played a game that bricked any of my hardware.

    I have a RX 5700 and 3900 x CPU , so it's not just 3090 .
I also play Wow with out issues.
    I bought a Rx 6600 and 5900x CPU with a TUF gaming pro MB , I''m gonna try .

  7. It's not EVGA this time. It's mostly Gigabyte cards but there's evidence of others too. Also, the other day I went to the New World subreddit and it was completely closed. This is just rereading old info

  10. It's the literal responsibility of the lower level firmware and drivers to make sure that no matter what a software (game, etc) does, there is no physical damage to hardware components. Just because a specific game happens to dong something in just the right way to trigger a hardware issue does not mean it's the game's fault.
