Is a 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak worth buying or a big MISTAKE?

What did we do here on Raiti’s Rides? Let me go over with you how this NEW 2022 Bronco Wildtrak came to be and why we decided to purchase it. Did we consider a Jeep Wrangler or Toyota 4runner TRD Pro? Plus, what about the stories of the 2.7L Ecoboost blowing up. Is buying a 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak a good idea or a big MISTAKE?

  1. At least you got some things from Ford for your waiting. I ordered a year ago and have not gotten anything from Ford for my having to wait and also have never gotten any info from fomoco since they acknowledged my order.

  2. Joe..it was nice meeting you in passing at TPA yesterday day. Great video on your Bronco it looks great! Would you consider producing content for the 2023 Bronco that would maybe assist your viewers with deciding which one would be best for them. I’m waiting for Ford to open the door on a 2023 Bronco build. I’ve been told Mid August 2022. Producing an in-depth deep dive on options available, ordering process, so on and so forth, would offer much needed information. Just my thoughts! Again really enjoy your content.

  3. Sounds like me, have a black Wildtrak coupe on order, and still waiting. I also knew about the engine and hardtop issue but I know Ford has addressed it. No mistake with the green machine at all!

  4. Aaahhh I want the 2 door so bad. I own a wrangler and am a wildlife photographer so I wanted something with an open top. That’s really it. Something off-road capable and the open top. Two choices only. It’s kinda sad other manufacturers didn’t do any open top designs. I honestly don’t like the Jeep all that much and the classic bronco was always something I longed for. I just can’t afford the 59k to 90k prices these things are going for right now. It’s insane to me. I really love the color of yours though. It’s an awesome truck. Hope those issues are worked out.

  5. Love the channel and the 2-door. Sweet ride. I’m hoping availability will allow me to get a 2023 2-door. Would love to see a defender on the show or a comparison to your big Bertha.

  6. In a world where a lot of companies promoting planned obsolescence, this Ford Bronco Wildtrak with the turbo engine are among the same echelon of low useful life vehicles.
This whole "turbo this and turbo that" trend and getting factual reports of engines blowing up are indicative how car manufacturers are playing their cards well to sacrifice the vehicles' longevity for short-term excitement within the auto industry, enthusiast communities, and general public.

TLDR: Joe, it was a mistake.

  7. I ordered my 4 door 6ltr in Sept of 2020, just arrived this week. I rejected it and here is why. The Bronco Video Hype and the Aesthetics of the Bronco were extremely appealing and hot. I turned on the engine and it was a typical Ford POS engine, sounded like my wife's escape. Complete contradiction and not worth $50k. I did feel like you were rationalizing the valve issues and the rooftop issues they had/are having. At the end of the day Ford owns the build, so you can't blame the suppliers. After i tested the Bronco i got back into my 2021 Challenger R/T Scat Pack and the world was good once again. You guys do a great job, keep it up.

  8. Congrats on the Bronco!! I am in a situation similar to yours – my Broncos is finally scheduled to be built the week of 8/1.

When will you be releasing your update video on YOJR experience with it so far?

I am contemplating trading in my 2021 F-150 Limited Hybrid for the Bronco, what are your honest thoughts? Yes, no – keep the Limited?!

Truly enjoy all of your content, keep up the great work!!

  9. Seeing this video is really helping my worries about getting my Bronco. I'm in the exact same boat, placed a deposit back in 2020, got delayed, got all the branded gifts and apology letters, and got told I would have to have my 2021 model bumped to a 2022. Thankfully, just got word that my Bronco has landed, and I'll be able to take delivery this month!

Also, my spec is exactly like yours, I got a 2-door Cyber Orange Wildtrak. Congrats on the new truck!

  10. Great video! I’m so glad you addressed the engine problem. I’m getting mine late August. I went through all your same feelings during the wait, but you reignited my excitement for my Wildtrak!

  12. Same exact story for us only I was 2 door out of the gate for the same reason…. Heritage! We too changed to Eruption Green on the 3rd order and resisting the offers to compromise the order for earlier delivery. Got the bronco 2 yrs to the month after order and love it. I hope that we too are outside the span with engine issues! Only been a week. Any new news to report to us all?

  13. Absolutely love the idea of doing a video series on the ownership experience with the Bronco! I'm exactly the same type of prospective Bronco owner as you are an actual owner. I've never owned an off road vehicle and the Bronco's home run heritage styling of the 2 door is making me want to buy one. I'd love to get all the ins and outs of ownership experience before I risk paying over sticker or having to wait for a year to get one. How's the cabin noise level on the highway? Is the noise level too high to have a cell phone conversation on Bluetooth? How's the highway and street ride feel on those mud terrain tires? I'm 5' 10" is there sufficient room in the backseat for an adult my size to sit behind a driver of my size? Is cargo space enough for those runs to Home Depot to buy potted trees (presuming I remove the hard.top) and runs to Costco to buy large bulk crap my wife says we need 🤣? Do those off road tires have decent tread wear for daily highway and street commuting? How does the Bronco handle in heavy rains with those mud terrain tires? Are long drives in the Bronco exhausting due to cabin noise, the ride, the seats, the smaller back seats? How the reliability? These are just many of the things I'm thinking would help make a good ownership series.

  14. I like this video! The Bronco, especially the 2 door is cool looking. I probably wouldn't buy one because of Ford quality issues. Look forward to hearing your experiences with this Bronco.

  15. My 2 door Base manual "zonks"…
    1. The stereo has ZERO bass and needs an amp and sub.
    2. Why a hood prop Ford? Had to buy aftermarket hood struts
3.The back up camera is very poor quality
    4. The headlights just come on after about 30 to 60 minutes and then shut off.
    5. Having to buy a front license plate relocation kit.
Other than those little nitpicky things, I absolutely love my Bronco! Can't wait to hear your likes and zonks.
