The US Navy takes some serious losses as the Italians deploy their 20 inch guns against our poor old standard class battleships. However with the sheer number of ships being sunk I think we will be able to make a bridge from Sicily to the mainland!

I'm loving the big fleet battles, it's fun to see the standards and the fast battleships in the same battle
Pretty intense battles, and it's admirable that the Italians are still putting up some resistance, but I fear it is an increasingly desperate and futile one.
Simple question, when will Tillman receive his 18-inch super Montana?

Captain's Log. Friday, October 13th, 1952: So Italy decided to fight back this time and they fought back hard, very hard. One of their new ships had a single twin mount main caliber turret on the forward end of the ship, like the British monitors of WWI. So the crews, rather unfortunately, thought this would be another simple wipe of the board. But no one, not even myself, thought that single turret would be housing 20 inch guns.
Now I had heard stories about the Japanese trying to build a 20 inch gun for an improved Yamato class, but it never came to be due to a lack of resources. Even the British thought about building one for a massive battlecruiser, and that one was also never built due do the sheer insanity of it. But I guess Umberto I had his science team huffing at the Mozzarella cheese again. While we sunk a large chunk of the fleet, we did lose the North Dakota & Vermont in this engagement.
I've just written a rather heavily worded note back to Navy HQ, demanding that they start making plans for our own 20 inch gun so that we can get some payback. Maybe pull the old WWII Montana class battleship plans out of storage and modernize them so that they can hold four triple turrets mounting 20 inch guns, or maybe even have a quad turret for even more firepower. I only hope it will be enough, because with the stagnation of the Soviet front and the beating Italy gave us recently, I'm not so sure that the boys can keep their spirits up.

Hey, love the mod, wanted to give you a quick shout, I think you uploaded the DIP mod again under the ship pack name instead of the actual ship pack on Nexus, confusing I know. But give it a check, right now downloading the ship pack gives you another 330mb asset file and I don't need another one!
The gigantic empty sterns of the standards makes me laugh slightly every time I see them
They're meant for 5-6 turret arrangements yet you go standard ABXY, which makes them look a bit, interesting (they also have more aft belt and deck armor due to space, taken up)
