  1. I feel the "tier 1" nations are doing us all a injustice by ringfencing international rugby. The newly proposed "global" tournament is a kick in the face to all rugby fans.

Thank you Fiji for your kind gesture towards the Irish team and the their sad loss.

  2. The Fijians should have gifted a decorated kava bowl with a sack of premium Fiji kava to the Irish boys to help them wind down after the tournament instead of giving them a jersey.

It would have been much more appreciated.

  3. It's so great when pure unadulterated flair can find success against a systems based approach. Some great tries scored by both sides.

Fiji showed good endeavour in this entertaining clash. They can be satisfied with their efforts at these U20 World Championships.

Ireland have been class throughout this tournament, and are rightfully among the favourites to lift this trophy.

    Prediction :

    Ireland 2nd

    Fiji 11th

  4. Typical of the fijians, there respectful gesture was greatly appreciated by the irish team management and fans! Rugby needs to nurture these countries to grow the game! If you draw a parallel between rugby and cricket to see the demise of the mighty west indies should be a lesson to the irb! The passion the fijians have for the game is fantastic.
So proud of the irish team under serious emotional pressure they fronted up and showed there team mate and his family amazing support and solidarity in a time of great sadness!

  5. The Fijians showing their usual high level of empathy for the fallen. This is the mark of real Human Beings, who shame mere people. The rugby world is graced by their prescence.

  6. A valiant effort with an honorable gesture at the start from Fiji, they will have to be more innovative on their flamboyance with a bit of structure as seen with the senior team itself.
