  1. I keep backseating with this, so apologies for it, but this is why you should go back to base camp and unload when your inventory is full. 😅

This isn't even the longest dungeon in the game. You'll see even worse inventory management nightmares if you don't get into the habit.

  2. Well you are getting closer to the Urn. And I definitely suggest making potions or something so you have more space, especially injury kits. That way you can have health items as well as more inventory space for items.

  3. Accept Kolgrim's offer and unlock the Reaver specialization or fight him and get his horn… Decisions, decisions…
You made the right choice. And you checked out the horn's description, so you know what to do with it. I'll get the popcorn ready.

  4. I think your ranged units can safely be set to aggressive, so they attack anything that's in range. Could avoid some situations where they don't do anything or get them to start attacking a bit earlier.

  5. You keep picking up every random sword and axe you find. Unless an item has a value of over 2 gold(and you get way less then that from merchants anyway) its most likely not worth taking.
Which means that pretty much every one handed weapon isnt worth looting unless its an upgrade over your current gear or has special stats.

  6. A little tip: if you are looking to brew lyrium potions the quartermaster of the Circle tower sells unlimited amounts of lyrium dust.

By the way, on this difficulty level enemies have a higher chance of dropping healing poultices or lyrium potions if you are low on them. This is why you run into those "NOW you give me lyrium potions?!" moments.

  7. There is a codex entry on dragon cults, mentioning people somehow being coerced into caring for eggs and dragonlings, receiving dragon blood to drink instead. That's what Colgrim means, proposing you take the dragon power: his specialisation, a Reaver, depends on dragon blood. Theoretically, if not in gameplay.
This quest makes me think all High dragons can somehow evolve to manipulate minds and kind of talk to people. If the mightiest of them managed to rise as Tevinter gods, a younger one could still be mighty enough to manipulate a group of fanatics to care for eggs, thinking they aid Andraste herself.

  8. I certainly don't remember any master armourers in Denerim who would love the chance to work with unusual materials and make exceptionally good armour for your party. No, no famous armourers there.

It does occur to me that if you can swap party members around in an area then temporarily bringing in a few of the characters who aren't on this adventure to give them gifts might help restore the space in your inventory.

As for Kolgrim, he's a very heavy hitter. He teaches the Reaver specialisation for warriors and it's a good job nobody went down as it would have healed his own injuries (a feature of the specialisation). Killing the additional enemies then focusing on the main threat is something to remember when you get fights with really tough individuals aided by less powerful allies,. A cult of Andraste the Dragon, probably not the first, though I wonder how much of it derives from Avvar beliefs up in these mountains.

  9. You read about dragon-cults in your codex, they worship the high dragons and take care of their nests and in turn the dragon let's them drink her blood for power. Dragons can have souls of gods in them, but not all of them have one. Dragons are mostly just very smart and powerful beings that might be why people think they are gods. Mostly is the key word.

  10. I seemingly highly overestimate how long these dungeons took me. I always felt like they were about 6 hours long, but it takes you about 2-3 hours usually.
Almost made it through this one and then just one more to go 🙂

  11. I think the mere suggestion that Andraste would take the form of a dragon upon her second coming would count as blasphemy to the Chantry. What with the Old/False Gods of Tevinter having been dragons.

  12. lol When you're a hoarder in this game, inventory management is definitely a problem but I feel you might make it harder on yourself than needed.
You were already full inventory at the start of this part, if you had turned back to go sell stuff and empty it, it would have taken maybe, idk 15mn, then you could finish the dungeon normally without pauses and having to worry about that.
By choosing to keep going, you basically have to stop and manage your inventory every single time you pick up new loot, which is a pain and happens every 2mn in this type of dungeon. And you kind of know there will be important loot to pick up at the end or after boss fights.
I know it's a bit weird to do so (and I could be wrong) but I feel you'd save a lot more time and struggle, if you turned back halfway through to clear your inventory 🙂

  13. You're doing really good in combat tbh, these groups of drakes were such a pain with their stuns and knockdowns, especially when playing a rogue and not having anything like indomitable :s
Also love the way Wynne and Leliana were the only ones left and still managed to kill that bunch of enemies, while you kept thinking Leliana wasn't doing anything lol

  14. You can sell unnecessary thinks to Bodhan in camp if you dont want to go to DLC storage chest, you can buy them back later before you heal Aemon (minor loss of cash)
BTW.:you can drop all 1*, 2* and 3* runes to mage liason in your camp

  15. To perfectly fair and honest the chantery is all about power. Granted they do good things to help people but they are about power and control. Things that have been mentioned in the game prove this one how they control Mages. If you have magical abilities you join the circle or you die you try to run away you die you disobey them you die. The chantery does not even see Mages as people they see them as tools if they don't work correctly or they won't work they just discard them. In this case destroying them means kill them or if they will not work for them they kill them. Then they train an elite Army that would be the Templars that's fine to have an army but. The chantery does everything to control them so it's their own private Army for example. They give them a substance that they get addicted to and they suffer withdrow if they don't get it. You seen the affects in Dennerom you eventually get to the point you only remember your name you can even die without it. If you stop taking it so that means they are tools for the chantery. They treat her own Templar soldiers is just tools not people if you disobey them they cut you off. Knowing full well that without it you are pretty much screwed and they don't care.

So the chantery help a lot of people but they harm more people. Sure they may help homeless people here homeless people there and small things like that. But at the same time they take people with magical abilities separate them from their families forever. Strip them from having any rights like they can't own land get married have children. Because the chantery does not allow this then they literally give you a choice join the circle or die. It's literally join the circle follow their rules or die that sounds like they want power and control over Mages complete power and control. Because if you leave or try to leave without permission you die no questions you're dead. They will send Templars to hunt you down and kill you not to return you. Then the Templars they train them to be an elite Army and they control them with a substance. Knowing it's addictive and there's side effects and if you stop taking it you can die. So they control the Templars like they control Mages if a Templar disobeys they cut off for supply. Knowing it can cause permanent harm or death so the chantery are all about control over Templars.

So if you look at these true facts about the chantery. They may help one person but they are dominating or enslaving 50 people at the same time. Because for every one person they help at the same time they are taking people with magical. Abilities and making them into tools with no freedom that's the Mages with a penalty of death if they disobey or try to run or will not join. Then they at the same time getting people addicted to something with negative effects over time and can kill them if they stop taking it. Then if they disobey them they stop giving it to them knowing it could kill you. So for all the good the chantery does they are also doing a greater evil by how they treat Mages and Templars. It's like helping people is their why of trying to go we're doing nothing evil. We just help people but ignore how we treat Mages and Templars just look at all the good we do not all the evil.

Side note if anyone has done the mage origin story. You will understand this but if actual demons say that the Chantry is acting. In away that is evil and unfair thats saying something because if the actual demon says people are acting evil. That means they are more evil then the demon because the demons are doing it for personal reasons they don't really have a choice. To Interactive with the real world they need a human body. But the chantry are doing these things to Mages and Templars just to do it it's not necessary but they are doing it. They can treat mages and Templars different but they don't want to. So they are acting evil by choice for power and power alone they control the mages they control the Templars. If anyone truly pissed off the Chantry they send Mages and Templars after them . Because they control an army that would be unstoppable and that's how they like it. Because you have to remember a king needs to go to the Chantry to get Mages and Templars the King has no say over Mages or Templars. So the Chantry is all about power over a great Army that being Mages and Templars.

  16. 1:03:13 Instead of immediately relying tactics. You could of ran over to the mage and made short work of him with standard attacks. The problem with tactics is you're essentially a sitting duck. Especially if ranged enemies are not dealt with on the field.

  17. To go into a bit more explanation on what Kolgrim's asking and why, he and his cult believe that Andraste was reincarnated as a high dragon that lives on the mountain. From their perspective, it's a bad thing that the ashes retain Andraste's power–they think it belongs with her new dragon body, and the ritual is designed to transfer it to the dragon. If you'd accepted his offer then both Wynne and Leliana would have turned against you and attacked the party once the deed was done, so you definitely made the right choice. Still, in my playthrough I went for it (and made sure to leave Leliana at camp during the quest). Accepting Kolgrim's offer grants the Reaver specialization, which is pretty useful for warriors.

  18. Wow, you’re really in tune with your party now – capable of pulling off clutch wins with Wynne (I couldn’t resist XD) and Leliana :O I think Wellens just needs some beefier runes on her sword, maybe give Wynne ‘Stinging Swarm’, and you will sweep the Darkspawn before you 🙂
