“Interstellar Gauntlet from Dreamiverse veteran Tony1979 is an all original retro themed adventure that puts you in charge of your own dimensional and plane shifting little buggy as you dodge and blast your way through 4 unique worlds with evolving mechanics that even include boss fights
The general concept and control scheme is really quite simple, when you touch a red portal you move down, when you touch a green portal you move up. And you can avoid yourself from touching these or other obstacles with a tap of L1 or R1 in order to “leap” through them as you hop dimensions. You can also shoot with r2 for all those times when you find yourself facing an alien foe. On a first playthrough you’ll be on the edge of your seat as you try to maniacly plot a course through each planet but then on repeat plays you’ll find yourself looking for that illusive perfect route on which you can collect the most coins for that scoreboard rep
There’s a full original soundtrack composed by Dreams stars RAKeogh, BlackCat Tracks and Bumbleburke and there’s even a separate Dream where you can just listen to those glorious tunes without the threat of gameplay
As you can see the pixel art is pretty lush and it’s all hand drawn by Tony themselves, super cool.
And tony really is a top creator with a wide array of other titles out there. I’d recommend Cause and Effect, Polar Magnetism and Check out at the Bellevue as three others worth checking out to see the variety on offer but really their whole profile is filled with gems
