They could make incentives for you to escape and start again with a new character. Permanent injuries for example, raiders hunting you after you reach high levels, among other things.
I’ve had an SVD (Romanian model) since I was 18. It’s served me well. Also happens to be my favorite weapon in TARK. It handles close, med and long range effectively. I wish 30 round mags were a thing. But that’s partially due to my aim being sub par half the time. Lol
