  1. theres literally no reason to buy a 14900ks unless youre trying to break LN2 records. no reason to buy a 14900k either cuz its literally just a ever so slightly binned 13900k that has a terrible performance/power ratio.

  2. I think Intel should forget about dumping money into more GPUs and AI and start pouring that money into getting their CPUs back on track. They need to take the fight head on with AMD, they need their Ryzen moment, and from the looks of it that's far from happening. Pretty sad on what have they become.

  3. Motherboards. Motherboards never change. Default settings will kill hardware over time if the user blindly trusts the manufacturer. They focus on making it work short term and don't care if it degrades so much in few months that it qualifies for RMA, they can afford it. Set an XMP profile, leave voltages at auto and watch how fast the IMC and memory burn. I thought this was no longer the case, then had a Z370 board fry one of memory sticks over one night this way

  4. I was thinking of upgrading my 12400 to a 14600K to get a little more life out of my LGA1700 motherboard, but I think I'll need to hold out until they sort through these instability issues.

  5. 3:11 This times 1000%. I was having all sorts of issues with different motherboards, processors and ram kits. I finally shut off all the extra mobo shenanigans and haven't had stability issues since.

  6. idk I had the exact same system memory error for about a week on my Ryzen 7800x, and then? idk.. just vanished and never bothered me again. If I had to take an educated guesstimate of the situation I would blame microsoft.

  7. i9 14900k are not faulty at all… people complain about their poor configuration and computer knowledge and moslty all use stupid cheap fast ddr5
The only things that fuck up is the default bios configuration on the Z690 .Z790 board and that IT

  8. I haven't had a single crash but after watching the video showing the MB manufacturers were adding their own OC into the mix, I turned that off. Intel controls my intel CPU.

  9. Hey Paul, thanks for the info. Now I know why my Intel 13th gen I7 failed. Thankfully it was under warrenty and MSI replaced it. I hope a solution m is found that fixes the issue.

  10. my 13900K started to crash when I was loading into a game, loading shaders, etc, idk what was wrong…now i know, I wonder if I can use my plan and switch it at microcenter to 7950x3d
