  1. I don't think Merrill thought you were being passive aggressive. I think, because you were giving her a gift, she thought that it must be some traditional gift exchange that she didn't know about. Like a holiday or anniversary.

  2. 19:59 Tip: they tend to go for the least armored ones with that attack. I very much recommend to bring out the Doggo when an enemy like that enters the field. They almost always choose the dog as their target because he has no armor. I play on harder difficulties and that trick has served me well. I don't call out for the Dog whenever I can, only when a rogue/assassin/whatever joins the battle. Then after the dog tanks a hit I hard-target them with my most powerful abilities, combos, stuns etc so they don't get an opportunity to do that attack again. I usually haven't been able to completely prevent it because they tend to open battle with that attack and also be more high level enemies. Thank the Maker for the Dog.

  3. You might want to buy some better armor to avoid getting killed by those double assassinations. I'm pretty sure you can upgrade noticable. Just that money maker Dupont helmet at 25:00 would already give you 14 more armor. That sounds alot for just a helmet upgrade and suggests you've been neglecting your gear.

  4. Merill truly is the best girl in DA2, how can you not like this adorable dork? Many people will tell you how DA2 is bad, how the story is so much worse and gameplay is horrible and so on and so on, but honestly I always preferred DA2 in many ways, and while I love how well developed the DA:O cast is and how organically you explore their stories, DA2 cast just always felt more… Close to me, in many ways, Merill being the one I always gravitated towards the most since I just want to make sure she is safe and happy, cause the girl deserves it, sure she might have some questionable things about her at times like the whole blood magic, but in my opinion that just makes her more interesting, so she is not just flat character (LIke sadly lot of DA:I characters felt to me, I finished DA:O/A and DA2 many many times, I only finished DA:I once and did like 80% on my 2nd playthrough, there are like one or two characters I felt genuine interest in and that's about it, sadly)

  5. 20:00 Staying in constant motion is another tactic. Standing still, or being preoccupied with less lethal enemies usually doesn't end well with assassins on the field. The same could similarly be said about mages. Both enemy types can be lethal. First priority over anything else should be to eliminate them quick as possible.
