  1. Is… Is it hilarious that Asmodai works well with these guys? Like imagine them having a conversation along the lines of,

"You look familiar, have we met?"
"You pulled my nails out and water boarded me last year."
"OH Yeah… Well it worked…. Also you cry like a female dog."

  2. Have run them with a Judiciar. Such a monstrously threatening unit, even defensively with a heroic intervention. Against a melee focused list, there's no easy way to take them.

  3. I've been fielding them in a 6 man squad with Azrael in an Impulsor in a Inner Circle Detachment. Had them one shot a Norn Emmissary in one round of combat without even needing Azrael!

  4. They're a big pain in the ass to get rid off with Azrael . I threw them in a big unit Deathkorps of Krieg and cleared them all but the commander . My friend had to put the complete killing power of his three Leman Russes and some extra's just to clear them off the board (And that was with me forgetting their special rules . lol ) . Next on my list of tries is both the Judiciar and Asmo . And Ezekiel is also on the to do list .

  5. It’s not a top choice for competitive play, but it’s worth noting that you can attach a standard tacticus apothecary to these guys. A lot of people are salty that you can’t attach the apothecary to bladeguard, but there is no such restriction here!

  6. I LOVE these guys, their aesthetic really appeals to me.

I'm hardly a competitive player but I like to run ICC with Asmodai. It's actually a good fit; I've had a lot of success with them. I mostly do it though because I like to pretend they are sticking their tongues out and making funny faces at him behind his back LOL ! Seriously, bringing Fallen angels back into the main DA army was not something I thought I'd ever see from a lore/fluff perspective and having them guard Asmodai of all characters is a sweet irony that just makes me laugh.

If there is anything I would like changed with them it would be that I wish they all had iron halos. I'd be willing to pay the extra points for those. I mean, they all literally have iron halos on their backpacks yet no rule. Still, it's clear GWs approach was to have Blade Guard be the defensive option while these guys are the offensive option so it is what it is and that's well enough. Thanks for the video ! ❤

  7. For leaders there are three great options:
    Judiciar
    Chaplain
    Asmodai

Judiciar gives first first and will enjoy hitting characters on 2s to start racking up extra attacks.

Chaplain gives them +1 to wound, so a great stack buff to allow lethal hits to be a bonus instead of a crutch with -1 to be hit and +1 to hit. Removing battleshock for free is handy but niche.

And asmodai giving reroll hits to everyone, gaining CP on character kills, and giving their 2OC an edge with forced battleshock tests every fight phase.

Vowed target can easily replace the chaplain, so judiciar or asmodai is my pick in that detachment.

  8. Can you do a video on space wolves or Votann? I’m a new Votann player and I haven’t really figured it out yet, they crushed at 1000, can’t seem to do much in 2k for me, space wolves is just because I stopped using Storm Lance for the flavor and idea of COR but I don’t know what to do now without all the unstoppable Thunderwolves and speed
