I am surprised to come across a western channel that produces a positive video about China. Thanks!
if you're going to talk about heritage let me about all of it that includes the part that gets destroyed that's our heritage
I'm sure that the Chinese ancestors are very ashamed of the leaders of China today.
What I have always found fascinating is the Japanese craftsmanship of the Samurai sword. I have one that is about 400 or 500 yrs old and I have never sharpened it yet it's as sharp now as it was when it was made I believe. My grandfather found it during WW2 and brought home. He said it had been used also as it still had blood on it when he found it. The Japanese must have had an incredible understanding of metal back then.
yea you can do alot when you dont stare at a black screen for 12hrs a day
Can't get enough of these! I love learning of technology or the past!
"Amazingly advanced for their time" means we haven't advanced as much as we thought.
"The Good book" says….
1 Kings 4:29-34
King James Version
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
So yeah, there was ancient technology.
And it should be accredited to "King Solomon" whom was smart enough to ask for Wisdom.
If you want wisdom, ask and it shall be given!
Seek and ye shall find!
Knock, and the door will be opened!
I regrettably asked for patience!!! I wouldn't recommend it. I am best friends with the utmost laid back person on the planet. I mean he is slower than molasses. He's smart. Don't get me wrong. He is very smart, just slower than anyone I have ever had to deal with in my life!
I still have trouble wrapping my brain around it. He cannot walk and talk at the same time. He can drive, but he doesn't use the blinkers because he doesn't have enough time to anticipate the turn before he does it and he doesn't understand that the blinkers are to let others know what you are planning to do. He knows that he is supposed to use them, but he usually doesn't hit them until he hits the brakes giving absolutely no warning time, whatsoever.
To bad they are too busy being commies to show us their Amazing history. The government not the citizens.
Iāve learned all about these while I was living in the then British HongKong during the 60ās and surely fascinating. My mother taught me a few of these .
The Chinese copied this technology from other civilizations long ago. We all know that Chinese have no original ideas and copy others good ideas, this story is as old as time.
What a surprise. They were more advanced than we are. They just didnāt have the materials we have⦠or the people. But these days people donāt wanna build stuff. Just tear it down and expect a better to pop up.
I believe that history should be re-written because a lot of the things are not correct like this the Chinese build all this stuff that comes back now that we use in this time and age they invented it so we should rewrite our history on that and there's a lot of things that other people have invented and yet our side always takes the credit for the things that the Chinese invented we use now in this time
"Something Su Song solved successfully." Try saying that 5 times fast
When did we start trusting the information coming out of China?
so why didnt the chinese get to control the world? they also build huge ships long before the europeans set sail and reached the shores of east africa
I really think the range finder is incomplete why would you give the average solider 500 pace measurement ?i think it would be useful all around but the main people who need that info would've been more essential for commmanders, calvary and archers it would be helpful but having a machine to show you the angle at which your bowman need to aim would've probably been far more effective. They had early rockets so I'm assuming they would've needed an easy way to coordinate strikes
INVENT or RE-INVENT OVER & OVER.
The Greeks had a multi-geared computer that would calculate a 19 year calendar, built small enough to wear on the wrist.
Before the Greeks, by a century, a Babylonian magician constructed a full size battery. In his extensive library, he wrote on a cuneiform tablet that he built the battery, based on the writings of the ancients.
PRE-BABYLONIAN is back there a ways.
The big question is "What were the Pre-Babylonians powering with batteries.
Maybe Tesla precursors.
Pretty sure nothing is "ahead of it's time" when it's made.. in fact it's just the right time.. wether people en masse notice how useful it can be is another thing all together..
And here in America we have Joe Biden..
It's true. China had some technology long before anyone else. But the History Channel would have viewers believe ancient China was far more advanced than every other nation around the world. It's misleading and inaccurate. Other nations had technology China would not have for over a thousand years. The History Channel overstates everything; frequently to a point it's no longer accurate.
Hallelujah
Hey A.I Chips
Thanks for reminding me of your Toad šø the uncle of Heavenly Jade dragon Emperor.
He scared me almost peed in my Dreams since 1990 until now.
So what? You wanna scare me with your beasts?
I only feel scared and fear of my LORD GOD.
I donāt fear the Heavens, I donāt fear of Evils, I donāt fear of your Buddhas, I donāt fear of your So call Heavenly Jade Dragon Emperor, I donāt fear the Deities of your Southwest of southwest of southwest of Asia.
They Should fear of my GOD.
They should fear of the day when I swallow their souls, the Vietnamese bloodline souls as the Gluttony the SATAN- your manmade SATAN.
Typical of History Channelā¦present some interesting, surface-level information, but don't go into any detail. Why wasn't the working of the cosmic device illustrated?
Those drilling machines are quite scary. Itās scary to think those exist back then.
China's industrial revolution and Renaissance could have been completed, but they were invaded by nomads. The Yuan Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty prevented China's progress. The Han nationality was the driving force for China's progress, and the Manchu harmed China
I could be wrong but I donāt think at any point during our trip to the moon was black powder used
Literal combt ship
Awesome Show! can you please check mine on, the out of this world show
The bamboo king betray his peoples.
I hate when these shows keep getting reposted.
History channel is deceiving they are the same people who runs every other major main stream outlet, the freemasons are large.
:O WHOA THAT CHINESE PROPAGANDA THERE BROOOOO SLOW YOUR ROLLL
Shame modern China is nowhere near as innovative as they were in their past. In all honesty Albert if their first emperor or even any of the emperors could see the way their empire today they would probably recoil in disgust.
Old history books, if it wasn't invented by a white man, aliens must have been involved.
This took āmade in Chinaā to a different level š
I am going to try to watch this in class. Does anybody have a viewing guide with questions for this?
Great documentary. Really interesting content. Loved every minute of it.
Wow this is the classic History Channel actually showing topics on history.
Chinese are smart very studious.
A lot of these inventions are spread to Europe by the Mongols when they did their Eurasian invasions. Japan had to send a lot of missions to China, especially during the Sui, Tang, Song, and Ming dynasties, to copy everything back to Japan. Basically everything considered āAsianā or āJapaneseā is Chinese invention. Chopsticks, tea, rice cultivation, soy bean cultivation, silk production, noodles, rice noodles, dumplings, soy sauce, soy milk, rice wine, bean curd (tofu from the Chinese word doufu), soy bean paste (miso), kites, lanterns, umbrellas, paper, paper folding art (it should not Chinese zhezhi, not āJapaneseā origami because this art is a Chinese invention), penzai (Japanese call it bonsai but it should be Chinese as itās a Chinese invention), calligraphy with ink and brushes are all Chinese. Japanese still write everything in three forms of Chineseā hiragana is cursive Chinese; katakana is partial Chinese; kanji is the Japanese way of pronouncing Hanzi, or Han characters, named after the Han Dynasty of China. Check out the Japanese missions to China. They sent the most envoys to China during the Tang Dynasty, resulting in the sudden blossoming of their āJapaneseā culture in the contemporary Nara and Heian Period. The capitals for these two periods are Nara and Kyoto. They were laid out according to the design of Changāan, the capital of Tang Dynasty. Check out a documentary called āDaming Palace and Tang Dynastyā.
I'm guessing that the kilns word destroyed to keep others emperor's from recreating them
This has been one of the best documentaries I've seen in a long time very informative š¤©ššš
