  1. You failed to mention 2 of events in PNS Hangor's records:
Hangor fired a torpedo towards Kirpan when it was coming for rescue of Kukri, a loud explosion was heard which indicated the torpedo has strucked but later it was found that the ship did not sank.

Immediately after this engagement the Indian Navy launched a massive hunting mission against Hangor and dropped depth charges indiscriminately. Hangor had to remain submerged for a week to escape this Indian mission.

This could be verified by personal interviews of Cdr Tasneem.

  2. What’s the international law on targeting merchant ships. Is that allowed given they’re not combatants??

Also, the ships were British and Panamanian. Wouldn’t that be a diplomatic incident with those countries??

He was rewarded by the Pak Army with some land near Lahore so I don’t know if that was standard for everyone or he got some special treatment.

  3. My grandfather was in the Pakistan merchant navy. He died very young in 60s in 1993.😢

    I was only 10.

I would’ve loved to ask him about his experiences and whether he saw combat.

  4. Beware international commenters! Nationalists are patrolling these waters. For speaking ill of india, at best you be ratioed by sheer force of numbers, at worst you will be mass reported and lose your account

  5. Another great video. Good to see lesser known wars are also being covered by some channels.

I just found out about the shitstorm that rose from your previous video. I'm sure you understand that this is a sensitive subject for us Indians, and we do have a slight point that just because the map is an UN map doesn't mean it is objectively correct. But I don't approve of harassing content creators on YouTube because of that, so apologies on behalf of my fellow Indians.

  6. Extremely one sided. The narrator kept calling India and Pakistan as enemy that shows the bias of the video maker trying to get views from Indian market and making a joke of the history. The video maker will never make a video of 2019 war when Pakistan destroyed 2 Indian jets and embarrassed 1.4 billion Indians and their allies into a great humiliation. India shot down their own helicopter in the latest technology era.

Reported the channel for their bias!

  8. Good effort in explaining the events of 1971. Big fan of your work. Only few corrections and inaccuracies I would like to highlight l that can be confirmed after a few Google searches:

    1. PNS DACCA was not damaged beyond repair during the attack and continued to serve till it's decommissioning in 90's

    2. No patrol boat was sunk in the attack instead it was a merchant ship. The 4 missiles fired hit 3 ships and an oil tank

    3. INS Kukri and Kirpan did not have a flight deck or a hangar so could not launch Sea King helicopters. Moreover IN did not have night airborne ASW capability during 71 war.

Also it is ethically better to use correct maps that show the actual international borders to avoid hurting people's sentiments and best way to ensure that is to use maps issued by UN. Johnny Harris and his videos are a good example.

Looking forward them maire amazing content
