Indianapolis Colts – Is Frank Reich the right coach? IU Football loses top recruit! Fast Friday @IMS

Reich’s lack of deep playoff runs is causing some fans to become impatient, but Reich is a hot start away from proving he is absolutely the right leader for the Colts.

(at 10:10) Daeh McCullough de-commits from Indiana Football.

(at 11:20) Nick Saban’s whining about college football becoming a professional sport begs the question why he’s paid more than $10 million if Bama isn’t a pro franchise!

(at 13:43) It’s Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but the only relevant question about the Indy 500 is whether the arcane local live TV blackout will ruin the weekend for those who can’t attend?

  1. Reich has had too many instances where he has fouled up the offensive gameplan, which has cost them games on occasion. This past season the games the Colts gave away include Tampa Bay, Tennessee, and Baltimore. Much of the reason why they lost was they went away from what they do best on offense, which is run JT, and find ways to get him the ball in the passing game. He also has to get MUCH better at the start of seasons, as he has not prepared the team well enough at times. My personal opinion, Ballard missed the ball when he tried to hire McDaniels, and then Vrabel was scopped up by TN before they had a chance to hire him once McDaniels backed out.

  2. To me Reich play calling is questionable, why many times he runs the ball into 8 defenders in the Box I don't know. Maybe Ryan will be smart enough to audible out of bad play calls by Reich.

  3. Frank is a great leader as a play caller not so much all the great teams now have innovative play callers lots of motion on each play to confuse defences when was the last productive screen pass we threw we have the tools use them or get someone who is capable

  4. Reich’s offense was the top scoring in the NFL going into week 15. Reich had never been the problem. Being a former Hoosiers I know Hoosiers love to hate their teams. The movie Hoosiers even implemented the cranky fan base.

  5. You have a beautiful backyard Kent. I don't see how anybody would think that's a green screen. Love you show like always. Have a great weekend bud.

  6. I have to chime in on this one. I have mixed feelings with frank also. Some good ,some bad. It's hard to point the finger at one person but in the nfl it comes with the job that when the teams failing it falls on the coaches. Having said that coaches is plural. Eberfluss absolutely cost us a couple games with that horrible bend but don't break defense scheme .should call it let the other team get back in the game defense. Frank in my opinion has also cost us a couple games with his playcalling and not running the damn ball. I'd prefer he step down from playcalling but he's stubborn and he's pulling the strings so if it happens again I believe he better be held accountable or its never gonna change. On the flipside I also believe frank has won us some games with his playcalling So it's confusing as to where I set him as a coach…I wanna put him at the top tier but I think he should have to prove himself with the rest of the team…go colts

  7. If Ballard believes in Frank, then I think he’s the right guy. We’ve already seen that he won’t hesitate to rip off the bandaid.

I like Frank and he’s a good coach, but I also do think about some of those poor losses

  8. Most fans who don't like Reich hate his playcalling (think "MIT guys" and "analytics" – and then take your blood pressure medicine). Also, he allowed our defense to be pathetically vanilla instead of insisting Flus bring pressure – or firing Flus. I'm not on the "fire Reich" bandwagon, but I see why some fans are.

  9. The only thing with Reich is that he just needs to stop out thinking himself. There have been several games where the offense was booming doing a certain thing and Reich just decides to change it up for no reason and we end up losing. This has been less of an issue in the past couple of years but it's the only thing I've seen I don't like about him.

  10. I hope we see a change in his game plan and Play calling this year.He has been to predictable. He needs to drop all the what the paper tells him.IF GUYS MESSUP CALL THEM OUT.HE HAD SOME BAD QB BUT WENTZ IS ON HIM.IBELEIVE HIS GAME PLAN NEEDS TO IMPROVE BIG TIME.

  11. Reich also stumped for Rivers when Brady expressed interest in playing for the Colts.

He's also the most one dimensional coach in history. 95 % of the time I know the play before the snap and if my amateur ass can see it, the highly-paid, professional defensive coordinator for the other team can see it too.

  12. I'm not thrilled with his play calling…too many "going for it" on 4th down and not enough screen's plays for me. I think as HC he should focus on how the game is being played and make instant corrections. Play calling should be his assist's….🤔

  13. I agree with you Kent. Frank Reich makes every QB under him much better. He even got thru somewhat to Mr. Thickheaded Wentz. Thats not an easy task! I don't see any other coach out there that's better than Frank. I know I'd LOVE to have him back as the Eagles OC. But I'm sure if the Colts do get rid of him, another team will offer him a head coaching position quickly. I think he will take the Colts to the playoff's he will get the best out of Matt Ryan.

  14. Reich, is a great coach honestly, great at game planning, and excellent at getting more out of his players, besides Wentz thing, Reich's been an excellent coach, and can lead them to the promised land

  15. Fire him. Call 4 pass plays on a 4th and 1 and everything in the line? Fire him. Stick your neck out for a QB with zero confidence in himself hoping he will get it together? Fire him. Call a pass play on 4th and 4 when you could go to ot and lose the game because you took a stupid risk? Fire him. Lose the confidence of a fan base that wants to believe? Fire him.
