In this Adventures Into History video, we take a journey down a rugged dirt road in Stewart County, Georgia, to visit the remote Holloman Creek Cemetery, nestled deep in the woods. This cemetery contains many graves that have fallen into disrepair, with some tombstones worn beyond recognition and several unmarked graves scattered throughout the area. Though time has taken its toll, the cemetery offers a glimpse into the lives of early settlers, with tombs and graves of those who lived over a century ago.

Thanks guys! Great history! Good job Joy!! -Nina
Love what you are doing but you should come prepared with brushes , broom and cleaning agents . I am from New Jersey but willing to join in to help
LOVE this old cemetery and so happy that you documented some of it, with reading of some of the headstones there. Some of the clean up you can see did help, but sadly the saplings have grown back, and really needs it again. God bless all those that have attmpted it thought, including you Robert. I have some Maddox surnames in my mothers side of my family genealogy..so seeing some of these, and thinking they COULD be related , is nice to see..thank you Joy and Robert. Great video.
When you say carved do you mean hewn? Were the stones there and cut into shape or were they cut elsewhere and moved to the cemetery?
You forgot your Brush again, Robert! 😮😂
26:26 That’s not Caroline, it says “Cathaline” Looks like one parent wanted Catharine and one wanted Kathline!
Great job Joy😀
Carry A Tool Bag!!! So you can have brushes and picks to clean up the tombs while trying to read them
You should have been the camera operator and let Joy show us the cemetery.
It's amazing … amazing … amazing.
Good morning. Robert you are so interesting to listen to. I enjoy your history that you give us. Thank you for what you do and Joy to.
Thanks for sharing, Robert and Joy!
Say a prayer for those holy souls who could still be in purgatory..
The other Robert always has a snake stick because grandpa always says😂
I like your truck or Jeep ❤
Hey I think what you do is a selfless act of kindness and I was also wondering if you were to die would you want to be buried or cremated so that maybe in the future you family would take care of your gave or spread your ashes to a favorite place of yours just wondering how you became so involved with graves
Robert and Joy enjoy seeing you walking through history The beautiful stones of yesterday years.Thank you Robert for the history of the Natives who at once lived in Georgia.
Do you ever see any Hopson graves? I’m having trouble tracking my family’s lineage. Love your videos!
The monument company originally placed my mother's headstone "backwards" so you could see it from the road going through the cemetery. I had them turn it around. I wonder if there was a path or anything that caused so many of the ones in your video to be "backwards".
Thank you for sharing this historic cemetery very beautiful
