Incredible drone footage filmed by chance shows a chain of lifeguards working together to rescue a swimmer in Flagler Beach, Florida, on August 5.
Joseph Osbourne, a local tattoo artist, told Fox 35 he took his drone out while on a break from work and just happened to capture video of the impressive rescue.
“It was definitely a rehearsed thing … with their buoys and their lines, and they use them in unison,” he said. “Very impressive. I thought it was very neat.”
Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue Lieutenant Malaina Bryant told the outlet the video shows backup arriving as the rescue was taking place far from the shore. “The backup comes out, and then they chain up by grabbing each other’s buoys,” she said.
“We all work really hard, so it shows on the video. They did awesome,” she added.
