Sky News host Cory Bernardi says the Greens’ vision for the future is “built on the back of slave labour” with children exploited in countries like Congo.
One of the key elements used in the transition to renewables and battery storage is cobalt and 90 per cent of it is mined in the Congo, according to Mr Bernardi.
“Prolonged exposure to cobalt can lead to birth defects, cancer, lung disease and death,” he said.
“You never hear the Greens or their renewable fairy-tale touts talk about this inconvenient truth.”

Recently an article was published by several reputable papers revealing the Exon Mobile undertook their own studies in the 80s that predicted the effects of fossil fuel burning and climate change. That burning fossil fuels would have an adverse impact on the climate resulting in a more frequent occurrence of extreme weather patterns by 2020. 1. It's limited by logistics. There is simply not enough minerals in the ground to make the quantity of green energy machines to equal – or increase output of electricity. And green energy machines are limited to sunshine and wind. Both of those are variable.
2. So. Where does this land. It will fail.
3. Electricity will cost more. As you take a central gas or coal fired power station. You have large boilers making steam that turn turbines that generate electricity. This was determined by industry decades ago as the cheapest and most efficient way to generate electricity.
4. That politicians could not wait until newer technologies became available. Such as nuclear batteries using spent nuclear fuel reactor rods, that last 20 – 25 years. And new nuclear powered plants using the reactors from nuclear powered submarines or ships.
5. The fact you are going to mine resources that are not there in the quantities you need to make green energy machines – is a logistical problem – no-one acknowledges.
6. The fact you have activist politicians who have no idea – of logistics – mining – costs are also going to fail.
7. Sure – green energy is a dream everyone has – like the perpetual motion machine – that no-one has every made yet, that works on any scale or can produce anything – most are toys to amuse people.
8. And this is modern government. Rather then concentrate on what you should be doing – you build more rubbish that will never work. And that's how governments run up the national deficit on things that don't work.
9. Look at how many things labor wont allow to happen. Like fix Indigenous Australians policies. That is fixable without the VOICE proposal.
10. Yet we must build an electrical power grid. And this is now like Communism in Australia. Someone tell them this wont work. The public servants wont tell them – as they don't want to lose their jobs. That's how labor destroys government.
