GAME: Xenoblade Chronicles 3
AUTHOR: Monolith Soft

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 takes place in Aionios, a world resulting from the fusion between the settings of the previous two games. In Aionios, human life is subjected to ten-year lifespans, with each year referred to as a “term.” Two warring nations, Keves and Agnus, engage in perpetual war with the purpose of extending their own lifespan. As the story progresses six soldiers, Noah, Eunie and Lanz from Keves, and Mio, Taion and Sena from Agnus, gain the ability to merge into lifeforms called Ouroboros. Their journey is obstructed by the Consuls from each nation, which have the ability to transform into a lifeform similar to Ouroboros, called Moebius.

  1. Consul Listing + Tips:

    New Consuls:

    Defeated Consuls: (7/26)

B: Consul of Colony 9, who first appeared during the battle of Colony Sigma on top of the Ferronis. In the Consul meeting after K's defeat, he praises K's plan but said it just failed due to bad luck. He then tried to kill Ouroboros after they were returning to Colony 9 from Agnus battle, but was stopped by Zeon, who gave time for Noah to destroy the Flame Clock. He then died in combat, but not before warning Zeon about the futile despair-filled future that they will have to face, with Zeon responding that it is his own choice.

E: Consul of Colony Iota, also known as Master E. Appeared in first consul meeting mentioning the raid was J's idea, reminding H that she destroyed Colony 8, and wanting his turn to shine. Was on the Keves Side during the flashback battle with Cammuravi, escaping before the Colony was defeated. Is very melodramatic, talking like he is in a play. Wanted to break Alexandria. Died in battle, manipulated by Alexandria. Last thing he heard was applause. Apparently had a lie? Allowed Alexandria to request the development of the Collectepedia Cards

G: Consul of Colony Gamma, ordered Teach to kill Ouroboros. Has some sort of past with the Teach and his past. Killed in battle, when Teach decided to protect Ouroboros due to deeming that they would not get swallowed up by power.

K: Consul of Colony 4, issued Ethel/Colony 4 to hunt down Ouroboros, has epic lines like "I'm the big bad boss, boo!" and "Your vaunted intuition… is s***!!!". Has the power of regeneration and capability of spying through walls as long as there is no black fog interference, died in battle after destruction of flame clock and loss of healing ability.

O: Consul of Colony Zeta, Partners with P. Is the Penguin Consul (Honestly, he should be called P). Remarked in the first meeting that the battle ended in a draw and that they should have dealt with the problem themselves. Has his iconic catchphrase, Righty-O. Ordered Ethel and Cammuravi to defeat Ouroboros while standing in the sidelines. When O was doubting them to finish off Ouroboros, he tried to contol Cammuravi, but failed due to Cammuravi ripping his eye out. With Ethel/Cammuravi disobeying orders, they drained them of their life energy. Interlinked with P to create the OP pair… who then get punched by Mio. Died in battle, due to overuse of Interlink causing an annihilation event, obliterating them.

P: Partners with O, Criticizer of D for having "Nothing to Show". Ordered Ethel and Cammuravi to defeat Ouroboros while standing in the sidelines, until Ethel/Cammuravi disobeyed orders, where they drained them of their life energy. Interlinked with O to create the OP pair… who then get punched by Mio. Died in battle, due to overuse of Interlink causing an annihilation event, obliterating them.

Q: Consul of Colony 30, hired Valdi to create Ultimate Levnis however due to Valdi's attempted destruction on the Ultimate Levnis, attempted to kill Valdi. Ended up destroying Mecha-Friend after he protected Valdi. After battle, got hit by explosion of the Ultimate Levnis.

    Remaining Consuls: (Named Consuls: 13/26)

D: First Moebius. Partners with J to form the Interlink of DJ. Killer of Mwamba (WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE!!!) Hackt (Who is this guy?) and Guernica Vandham. After Ouroboros Stone was used, left battle and set a target on Ouroboros. Killed Eunie in the past and destroyed a Gold Colony. Encountered Ouroboros at the Annihilator, where D and J fended of Ouroboros until Eunie tricked them, using her fear of them as bait. After being dominated by Eunie, they fell down with the Annihilator. Fate Unknown.

H: Snake Helmet Lady, wiped out Colony 8 apparently.

J: Real Name: Joran. Originally weak but sacrificed himself to save Lanz. Partners with D to form the Interlink of DJ. Responsible for organizing the battle for the Ouroboros Stone. Killer of Mwamba (I wonder if he killed Mwamba cause he was the new Joran of the group) and Hackt (What is this guy meant to be anyway?) and Guernica Vandham. After Ouroboros Stone was used, left battle and set a target on Ouroboros. Makes a hunt for Ouroboros through using Colony Lambda Mudpuppets and the Ferronis. Reveals identity to Ouroboros, kills mudpuppets and states being Moebius is the best thing that has happened, after a battle, decides he had enough fun and leaves. Gets mocked by O and P for failing to dispose of Ouroboros. Encountered Ouroboros at the Annihilator, where D and J fended of Ouroboros until Eunie tricked them, using her fear of them as bait. After being dominated by Eunie, they fell down with the Annihilator. Fate Unknown.

N: The Golden Consul. "Totally" doesn't look like any other character we have seen before.

R: Consul of Colony 11. First appears watching a Colony battle, with a chessboard, where she lost the bet. She despises Ashera and Colony 11 for disobeying orders and military strategies, alongside Ashera insulting her, when R calls the Ashera a beast. After losing to Ashera and Ouroboros, her life is spared by Ashera and R ACTUALLY RETREATS to one day return for her revenge.

Z: Leader of the Consuls. Has Two Infinity Symbols, one for each eye.

    For tips today.

Well today we got to see the start of how great Colony 11 is. The whole 3 Ravens set up, alongside their groups really show off the dynamics of the Colony well, plus most of the NPCs are memorable with Widow, Hexen and Knoquehardt being good standouts so far. I hope when you get further into their questline, you continue to enjoy how great the Colony is. Still don't worry about that high level mission with the Three Ravens, since I think that is the last quest for a bit, so you can save it for later.

Also I didn't remember how awesome that fight between DJ and Eunie/Taion was.

If anyone can help with this. There are two consuls I want to figure out who's identity they are. There is a Consul leading Colony Sigma and a Consul who appears at the end of Chapter 2 who meets with the Agnus Queen. I haven't been able to identify them due to them being so far away, so it would be helpful if anyone knew to tell me.

  2. Using 2 healers for ashera isn't a bad thing, it helps make further order bravos and amazings easier as you have characters that can easily get the tp to 99

Or if you know 2 characters will not exceed 99 if used first you can do, attacker/defender > attacker/defender > healer to cap it at 99 > ashera

The latter is preferred as you get the amazing reactivation boosts on more attacker/defenders than healers (typically lanz and sena have the lowest base tp; you can do this latter strategy typically with lanz or sena and any other party member)

  3. In response to your "force to use 2 healers" for Ashura's order, it depends. If you use Taion who has the highest TP as an atttacker on the first turn, then pretty much. But if you do it with Sena and/or Lanz who have the lowest TP you're much less likely of reaching the 99% mark.
Like even with all bonuses on lanz as attacker, that would be something like "15 tp + order bonus (5) + colony bonus (5) + other effects + first strike = about 36-ish TP going on the lower end. Follow up by Sena (assuming she's also attacker) she would give closer to 25 giving a total of 60. Use a healer now and you're guaranteed to not go over, or use a defender from a different region than the bonus one (not taion tho) and you shouldn't pass 40 TP.

This in turn though makes it that following turn Sena and Lanz actually now can contribute to gaining TP compared to just kind of being there for most of the chain attack, and would usually not be the ones you want to get back since they have low tp in general, with Ashura's amazing guarantee kinda negating it

  4. If there's any part of this game's writing that makes me scratch my head, it's the way they describe the way the annihilator was built.

"Here's this giant death ray that was built to aim in pretty much any direction, and it has these vitally important attachments to keep it stable and cool and basically functional at all. Those were clearly added as an afterthought."

  5. God. The dude recognizing Eunie's fear and that "I'll kill you whenever you cross my path" line was one of the most violating things I've ever heard in a video game, in media frankly, before. It actually made me feel downright disgusted. The only thing that i think beats that is Rapha's confrontation with Lord Barrington atop the manor in FFT.

  6. Sena, before a few chapters ago: isn't it funny how some words sound like swear words? Like fog for example?
    Lanz: huh, you're right
    Eunie: yeah
Taion, Noah and mio: what are you talking about?
Taion, to himself: here's hoping this won't come back later.
Eunie after defeating mobeous d: fog you, motherfogger.

Couldn't help myself, hope those who come across this joke gets a laugh out of it.

  7. Yeah if it wasn't already clear by how strong Eunie is already, this just cements it. I wouldn't even blame anyone in any other story if they froze up against the fear that Eunie had to face, but she doesn't let it stop her and uses it to her advantage, and at that Taion coming in and supporting her at the drop of a hat. They're really the best out of the group.

  8. I know Mio and Noah's relationship is the focus, but I love Taion and Eunie's dynamic as well. The way Taion can constantly tell she's struggling and keeps offering to take over is very sweet, and they play well off of each other.

  9. So, those monsters at 18:45 actually does look like a real animal, they're called Capybaras, they're are a hebivore and the largest rodent in the world that you can find in South America, mostly on Brazil, they're are normally kinda chill and you can find them resting in some bodies of water and even chilling out close to some predators that eats them (yep, capybaras are that much chill).

  10. Nico, power charge is awesome. if i'm not mistake it pretty much doubles all or most of your chain attack damage. it's how someone got some insane multimillion chain attacks.

  11. Hey Nico, do you think you'll ever tip your toes into the Tales series? There are some genuinely amazing classics in there that I think would jive well with the channel's brand of content.
