New Shepard was the world’s first rocket to land propulsively after having been to space (past the Karman Line). They beat SpaceX’s Falcon 9 by 1 month, back in 2015. New Shepard’s capsule is designed to accommodate up to 7 people, and it has the largest windows which have ever flown in space. In July 2021, Jeff Bezos and 3 other passengers rode the first crewed New Shepard flight to an altitude of 107 km (66 mi).

Wow I can't believe I missed this good thing there was no people on board.
Did they loose the booster ?
Make in USA !! Maybe it is time to replace with Made in China component parts.
No one has video of the rocket? Just showing the abort is all I see.
No home video from ns23 booster crashing in ground? since Blue Origin didn't show (Space X would never do that…)
Possible abort testing today?
Blue Origin – Billions of taxpayers dollars and not a single ounce of payload put in orbit. Perhaps its time for Bezos to sue NASA again, or blame SpaceX for yet another one of his dismal failures. Blue Origin spent $560,000 on lobbying against its competition in the FIRST quarter of 2022. You don't belong in this business Jeff.

Darn! I missed all Roger !'s antics. I would love to have had several shots at him. Looks like he only made two claims: 1. That no astronauts have been beyond LEO. Actually 27 astronauts went beyond LEO on Apollos 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. Not many are still alive today, but some of them are alive, therefore his statement is false: a lie.
And he said that LEO isn't in space. Space has two common definitions of international agreement, The United States anyone who has ascended above 50 miles (80 km) is regarded as having gone to space and is eligible to be an astronaut. The FAI recognizes 100 km (62) miles as the edge of space and has arbitrarily called that altitude the von Karman line.
Von Karman himself cast his lot between the two, stating that 57 miles was certainly in outer space. "Consider, for instance, the record flight of Captain Iven Carl Kincheloe Jr. in an X-2 rocket plane. Kincheloe flew 2000 miles per hour (3,200 km/h) at 126,000 feet (38,500 m), or 24 miles up. At this altitude and speed, aerodynamic lift still carries 98 percent of the weight of the plane, and only two percent is carried by inertia, or Kepler Force, as space scientists call it. But at 300,000 feet (91,440 m) or 57 miles up, this relationship is reversed because there is no longer any air to contribute lift: only inertia prevails. This is certainly a physical boundary, where aerodynamics stops and astronautics begins, and so I thought why should it not also be a jurisdictional boundary? That puts all LEO, low earth orbit, flights in outer space, not in the atmosphere. The distinction is a legal one and a scientific one.

Almost a total failure! I didn't even see the retro rockets fire!
It’s a strange coincidence that this just happened. I had been watching a video this morning showing SpaceX testing their abort system off a pad and I thought to myself it would be interesting to see one engage on an ascending rocket. Few hours later and THIS happens.

Imagine the forces on your chest heart and lungs when that abort engine kicked in. Holy cow. Older people would have not survived that!!! If they were on onboard like the first couple of flights…
I wonder if the capsule burned too much fuel in the abort ( it seemed like it fired for a very long time to me) and when it tried to relight for the landing there was literally nothing in the tank.

In a way, I am glad this happened. They proved that the rocket escape system worked and the crew survived. Challenger could have used this.
at 3:30, there was a 23 minute hold. Something was wrong but, they went ahead with the launch instead of scrubbing. Someone went ahead of the launch and look what happened.
Seems like there was a lot of energy yet when the capsule touched down.
