The banter between these guys was great 😂. I was a Crew Chief on the 15s at Kadena for a few years. Hopefully they send some USAF 35s there soon cause then I can go back.
My issue you not having anything coming from the mainland. Do you really think that they're just going to sit there? Yes, they may be far away, but if they scramble at the same time as the Okinawa planes, they'll get there later, but they'll get there. Just because the mainland is far away doesn't mean their planes are useless.
That's Guam, not Okinawa.

The major problem with these "experiments" is they act like Chinese pilots are just as good as US pilots. They aren't. Their training isn't even close and they have no direct combat experience while most of the US pilots have combat experience. So putting Chinese AI at "Expert" makes little sense because none of them have experience combat so how can they be experts? Also, how much have they actually been able to train in their plains? Lack of ammunition and jet fuel for training is a thing. Both in Russia and China. It's the same issue comparing US Tank Battalions to Chinese Tank Battalions. The US has much better training and get to fire their tanks in training far more than Russia and Chinese counterparts due to how much better the barrels of their tanks are. We can fire much more rounds through the barrels before they have to be replaced. We also have better technology for using simulators from aircraft to entire tank battalions being able to do maneuvers and fire training in a simulation environment that is as realistic as possible. Then being able to do large scale exercises in real life. China is experiencing a lot of issues with energy production because they have to import oil and coal. That again will prevent more training.
The Dragons don't have close to the weight to thrust ratio of the F-35 or the F-22. Unless the newer engine has been rolled out to all of them because the original engine was garbage. But of course DCS isn't properly showing that. It's acting like the Chinese are equivalent to the US when even their 5th Gen fighters aren't close to the F-22 or the F-35.
I believe (if they can't rtb) winchester and damaged chinese aircrafts just fly to closest base to land/refuel even if it is a hostile base. That would xplain the behaviour of J20 and AWACS

The very last thing that my father definitely reacted to before he passed away. A group of veterans were visiting other veterans in the hospice facility he was at, one of them a US Marine. My mom was telling them about a surgery to remove a brain tumor previously, and how he had been determined to recover quickly because he wanted to attend a reunion of Navy shipmates. He did recover in time to attend.

ASVAB scores say you get it. Getting in with a 35 gets you as a gunner on point. Not doing anything worthwhile.

If god forbid this were to happen for real, China would strike all of nearby major U.S. airbases with DF-17s and DF-21s before any aircraft is sent into the arena. There are 200+ H-6Ks near the Chinese coast capable of launching hundreds of saturation cruise missile attack against bases as far as Guam. Also why are the J-20s placed so far behind the non stealth assets and then go stupid in the battle? The J-10s were essentially wasted as cannon fodders in this battle. But very entertaining to watch nevertheless.
