Per Phil McKnight, the standards have the old chunkier neck profiles like the 2010-2018 Mexico standards with a slightly wider than 43mm nut, and medium jumbo Frets. All Squier's are 42mm nuts now.
I think a Squier Classic vibe is better value for money, but I wouldn't buy either, I would get a used SE Silversky if I were looking for a quality budget Strat. I bought my Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars in the mid '80s when a Strat was a Strat and the changes were improvements, like the Elite and the American Standard Vintage. I also bought a Squier Telecaster in 1984 as it was a quality instrument, at the time I couldn't find a well built Fender model.
Hate that I missed the live stream.
The Harley Benton HB-35 has a nice big neck and fretboard, I like it.
