"Impossible Mission For The Rescuers" – Updates On Missing Titanic Sub

A race against time is underway in the North Atlantic to rescue the crew and passengers of a missing submersible that was visiting the wreck of the Titanic.

The major search and rescue operation led by the US Coast Guard was launched 900 miles east of Cape Cod to trace Titan after Canadian research vessel Polar Prince lost contact with the craft.

Oliver Whitfield-Mioฤiฤ‡ says: โ€œYes, itโ€™s an almost impossible mission for the rescuers. You have to look at how deep and far away the boat is. The outlook doesnโ€™t look great.โ€

  1. How come no one noticed that these people were pickin em up and puttin em down, but they weren't goin nowhere?
They should have been restrained in a mental institution in Newfoundland.
They have killed themselves in an insane manner.
The dumbest Newfie on the rock could have figured out this was not a good idea, by.
Not that I have knowledge of any dumb Newfies.
Sorry about using the N word.

  2. If you're foolish, reckless and enjoy VOLUNTARILY risking your life in (what appears to be) a rather "slapped together" UNCERTIFIED, sub standard sub, you deserve whatever fate that befalls

you for acting so STUPIDLY. I have little sympathy for "daredevils" and "thrill seekers" who are injured or lose their lives in such ridiculous, (hugely) life threatening pursuits. I have the same

attitude towards those who skydive, ride motorcycles without a helmet, etc. and most people who seek such dangerous pursuits usually die earlier than others with more sense….

  3. ok im no expert but shouldn't there be atleast a gps emergency beacon onboard and im sure there are other forms of subs like r,o,v,s that can attach cables with robotic hands etc

  4. How's a C5 supposed to help? Are they trying to airdrop it? That's a little nuts. C5 can airdrop stuff but really thats a c17 c130 thing. If it's too big for those planes then it isn't gonna happen. Also, the submersible has no drop rating or rigging procedures so it would take a good while to figure that out. Also, a sea launch air drop has to be done differently than airdroping onto the ground. If any of that goes wrong the sub is lost.

  5. This has to be my worst fear, to be lost at sea, or in this case, somewhere 2.5 miles deep, this is the stuff nightmares are made of. You couldn't pay me to go down in this tin can, much less pay $250,000 per seat like that did. They're complete idiots, but in any case, I'm absolutely praying for a happy ending, nobody deserves to die like that.

  7. Logically thinking about this, If it was only a comms issue surely the pilot of the submersible would try to ascend immediately and not risk going down deeper without any communication.
If it was a power outage the sub will basically just descend in to the deep and the risk would be firstly, hypothermia or worse a complete implosion of the craft as the psi is tremendous. The DYI footage from using cheap pipes and some tech doesn't help the situation at all.

I hope to God I am wrong on this but I fear the Sub imploded 1h30min in to the descend towards the Titanic. If the total time to reach the Titanic is 2hours (According the Sources) then 1h30min is 3/4 of the way down already. Hopes die last but being realistic I highly doubt this will have a happen ending.

  8. This may sound silly but can you send them a sound message telling them to keep tapping on the wall of the sub so you can tune into them.
whale sounds can travel underwater but can the human voice do the same if its loud and deep enough ?
Also they may be stuck 15 minutes above the Titanic to, hope you can find them soon.

  9. A bunch of bored billionaires put their lives on the line, including the life of one young man. Now, spend millions in the search while millions die of hunger and simple diseases in the world. This world is s… without size.
