Impact of blackouts on business

South Africa is losing over 4-billion rand a day due to blackouts. Power cuts impact how businesses operate and deters investors and, this has got the sector very, very worried. The impact of a stagnant economy will eventually be felt by you and I. eNCA’s Gareth Edwards discusses this with Business Unity South Africa Environment and Energy Manager, Happy Khambule.

  2. We had enough now.. Some areas have 4 hours straight in the am and 4 hours in the afternoon and then electricity faults after the load shedding! Two of my friends experienced that..

Plus paying more for electricity we don't have ..

  3. We have what we deserve. We voted a mafia into power this is the result.
We are well on the way to the typical African model, a handful of uber wealthy connected people a handful of comfortable ex pat parasites and the rest that are peasants scratching for a daily living any way possible.
    Infrastructure destroyed no education etc.
The best of times is behind SA you may be a fat cat tenderpreneur but you can't drive a Ferrari on a gravel road.
From here watch the mafia kill each other over the ever dwindling pot of gold. Oh yes and for the 5 remaining tax payers enjoy your annual SARS audit.
