I think I've fully reached the lost complete interest threshold for this series. I didn't even know there was any announcements until early this morning. lol
Basically the series is going the course as always. Hope people's game gets fixed at some point.
The Sword and Shield DLC was already overpriced for what it was, the fact that this one is a tiny bit more expensive and is still 2 packs doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence. Sure, I could be wrong, the DLC could have a surprising amount of good content spread across 2 packs, but I can't even be slightly optimistic until they actually try to convince us this DLC is worth it.
Alot of very good points. I felt burned on sw and sh, arceus was ok but when i saw how s and v shipped out first time i skipped out on a mainline purchase. Been hopin for some patches to fix performance but yr later almost and still nothing. The dlc announcement hit sour note cause not only hasnt stuff been fixed there asking for more money to bring back what was taken out. Idk, im still huge pokemon fan but, games arent cheap.
Pokemon could release an actual masterpiece and you'd still be "skeptical"
Was there a pokemon game were you could catch all Pokemon available at the time? The cut dex doesn't mean they can charge you to get them back, once they make them available with the dlc, like with past games, you can bring them from other games without paying a dime.
Best I can say is I hope it's good
are the 3 new legandaries pre-order bonus? the dog, bird and idk what the other is, but are the cut pokemon also pre-order bonus like chingling if so im probably screwed
Alot of people are celebrating because it sounds like the extra school will essentially be bringing back a new "battle tower"
Which is disappointing to me that people are excited for that when battle tower would normally be in the base game to begin with.
Oh BTW, it was that scumbag Verlisify who started this moronic trend of defending Dexit, or at least the first degenerate simp with a large audience to do so.

After the shameful Scarlet and Violet release im skeptical about anything Pokemon, and you are correct, they having the nerve to start announcing DLCs when they havent even fixed the base game yet is insulting. Im not giving them one more cent, im not buying anything Pokemon on release again, because its clear we cant trust them to deliver a high quality product.
Thing I most dislike it having to dual buy the dlc, I already bought the game twice now you want me to pay twice for each of the DLC, urgh
I didn’t watch the direct because of how busted Scarlet and Violet was. I think it’s cheap shot that they’re coming out with and charging us money for a DLC when they never fully patched out all the glitches with the game.
You don't buy back pokemon as DLC. If you have a means to get what was reintroduced from your own collection in Box to transfer to Home, or find people to trade with, you can just get the pokemon regardless of the DLC you have. If you're setting the expectations to be the same here as they were with previous DLCs, you should be consistent and acknowledge that plus at least. Now that we're fully integrated into the Home ecosystem, getting pokemon that are reintroduced back into a gen will just get easier and easier with how much overlap there will be since you can just use the free Home box to move pokemon about.
Anyways good video. I just wanted to address the one thing that bothered me.
Even if the nat dex wasn't removed, you'd still have to pay for Home to get all the Pokemon.
I think the shortened dex works if they're going to keep doing DLC, otherwise either they'd have to make a bunch of Pokemon to fill out each DLC or use Pokemon that everyone already has and won't care about.
Honestly for Pokemon to evolve it needs to fail, and I don't mean like the performance of SV because the game will always have people defending poorly optimized Pokemon games because a large chunk of the Pokemon playerbase only play Pokemon and no other games, we need an Overwatch 2 situation where the game crashes at start up, doesn't save properly, make it such an unappealing disaster that nobody can justify its existence because a boycott isn't possible, even if SV sold 50% of what they actually sold thats still 5 million copies in 3 days
I’m gonna be honest I’d rather have the dlcs than a third version for pokemon games its just gonna be cheaper in the long run with how game prices are going
I refuse to buy anything from gamefreak. They released a broken game and now have the nerve to have theyre audience pay for DLC? What a joke. I wont be buying anything poke-related ever again.
So far I heard from a leak that they are bringing 230 returning mons, is that a good number in your opinion? There's a list but idk how you feel about leaks and stuff.
Altought I do prefer the DLC over a third release, they still are using it to fix the game.
don't buy dlc on a broken game, don't buy these games, they aren't gonna be fixed, the core issues aren't something that can be patched, weak story, exploration tools, lack of a victory road, dexit, weak animations, camera in combat, and more features removed each game

Honestly my opinion I have never been happier with a Pokemon game since black 2. The dexcut is whatever to me i already have my team going into the dlc and might tweek it here and there depending on what finally releases. I cannot wait for the dlc coming this year and sinking another few hundred hours into the game
I’m probably just lucky but I’ve had next to no glitches so far in my run, so far it’s crashed one time after hours of playing and I fell into a infinite void one time after roof jumping. While I would I have preferred it have more time in the oven I’m happy with what we got so I’m cautiously optimistic about the dlc ( mostly because of the gem turtle)
