I'm Going to do Three Things!

My interest is buying and selling antiques and vintage items mostly
from the 1920โ€™s into the mid 1960โ€™s. Thank you for watching.

  1. Oooo, I love that black vase! You find the neatest things. That Jay's cousin lives in our neighborhood because he has the same hasty habit of christening our car all the time!!๐Ÿ˜

  3. Cambridge Glass Co. made both the 'Draped Lady' and 'Bashful Charlotte' flower frogs. I remember when you found the green glowy 'Draped Lady' at an estate sale! Those two crystal 'ladies' are beautiful! What movie did you see? Could it be the new Poirot film based on the book, 'Hallowe'en Party', that you were showing us during your live sale… ("My name is Hercule Poirot, and I am probably the greatest detective in the world…")

  4. Think of all off the ribbon and jelly-filled hard candies that will fit in the giant candy box!๐ŸŽ‰ My grandmother's neighbor always had those for a little boy who came to visit her talking parakeet๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Those purple ๐Ÿ’ฉs are great during mulberry season. Get a mulberry tree and you will rejoice in the purple spots on your truck. Orange circus peanuts a great food group all to itself. 6. Beautiful things. I donโ€™t know that Iโ€™ve seen clear carnival glass. Itโ€™s a gorgeous bowl. That candy jar!! Fabulous. Lovely floral cut. You really should keep that one. So unusual. Keyhole ivy bowl is a stunner! Wow. This was a fun video to see all these lovelies. Love your cute little frog planter. You are too funny. You definitely have a grudge against that bird!

  7. When I saw the large candy jar, I wondered if it was once on the bedside table of someone in a well-to-do family, containing biscuits (cookies). How wonderful to see a mint-in-the-box cocktail set of the Libbey Golden Foliage. This set is on screen in Episode 1, Season 1, at 12 mins. 10 secs. of "The Dick Van Dyke Show", airing October 3, 1961. The episode is found easily on YouTube. I can verify that some of these glasses can be even older. My parents received the Silver Foliage iced tea glasses as a wedding gift in 1955. Thanks for the fun content and great finds!

  8. Hi Scott! I'm new to buying and selling vintage pottery, ceramics, and glassware. I absolutely LOVE your channel and watch it often. I have learned so much from you and look forward to learning more. I would love to pick your brain on some items I cannot identify. Happy hunting! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  9. Love the Fenton vase. I have a few blue opalescent hobnail that my Gram bought for me in about 1949. โ€œWidow ladyโ€ neighbor had a picture window in her dining room with glass shelves full of glassware which she sold to supplement her widowโ€™s pension. Also had a huge dining table piled with embroidered tablecloths, pillowcases and such. Gram didnโ€™t have much herself and it wasnโ€™t until I got older that I realized it was her way of helping with dignity as opposed to just โ€œcharity โ€œ.
Twenty-some years ago I had a little blue Geo Metro. Came out one day to find it COVERED in droppings, many of which were still on the move! No trees or wires overhead. Had to use the landlordโ€™s garden hose to wash it all off. ๐Ÿ˜‚ -GreatGrandy
