  1. has anyone figured out any workaround for the disappearing attack animations (I mean the lasers and rockets and stuff)? I have always liked BE, but this kinda breaks immersion for me.

  2. I love spamming weather controller and orbital fabricator satellites, especially if I've built the Abyssal Mirror because that greatly improves the packing, and the free resources over time allow an entire build style of just not improving my tiles until they get something special to work

  3. There's some good mods that overhaul the starting loadout to provide more strategic and balanced options. and there's also a mod that expands the artifact system with more options and makes them more common. If you're planning on doing more BE it's worth taking a look.

  4. Just to comment on a few things, as I have played BERT (Beyond Earth: Rising Tides) quite a lot myself and I love it; the affinity system which with the DLC upgraded into Hybirds, the Orbit layer added to the combat system, the reactive alien "barbarians" as well as all the unique events and quests.

For the aliens, depending on the type of world, they will have a global behaviour; you choosing Fungal made it that there was more Miamsa and thus the aliens play around it more (since they heal whilst in it). However their aggression is per colony, meaning the AI attacking them doesn't make them angry towards you, they only get angry at you when you do the things you said; being near their nests or hanging around them for too long.

The one thing I hate about what the DLC added, is how the Personality Traits work; like the whole system and the abilities and agreements and the unique capital resource is good! But due to it, it removed the generic trade that was like Civ5 and made the Personality Traits heavily, I mean heavily, affect how the AI views you. Each one of those personality traits is basically how the AI will view you and if you ain't good in what their traits given you, it causes them to hate you overtime which is what leads to them delcaring war on you and there isn't really anyway to easily improve relationship with the AI expect for "fixing" what they dislike you having too little or too much of.

  5. You made me want to give it another try and I could not get it to launch, even after trying all kinds of solutions from the community boards. I'm actually remembering that this has been a problem for a long time, but I'd managed to get it running in the past with a combination of admin access and compatibility mode. Absolutely could not get it to work, this time.

  6. Because of the first video, I decided to play this game again. When I did, I realized that I had the game for a decade to nearly the day since it came out in early November ten years ago. I still even have the poster that came with it.

Interesting just noticed, iam doing a Slavic Federation run and the Chungsu happened to come to the planet as well and the korean man mentioned this same thing, here i thought Beyond Earth already had that Civ6 system of secret agendas/liking and disliking that changes every game, looks like they do but it always the same
I assume Franco-Iberia would like your culture like the ruskies and Brasilia would like you waging war like Sparta?

  8. I do recall a beyond earth video on valefish channel where a certain Potatomcwhiskey where very against beyond earth and thought it was impossible to make a video on it. What could have made him change his mind HMMM?

Potato if you read this, it is fine to change views but this game got ALOT of shit from civ 5 supremacists and as you covered in 2 videos now there is ALOT of things under the hood that makes this game quite good. I am still going to flat out ignore civ 7 though, the civ changes was done in humanind and it was done poorly. I don't expect it to work along side a few other changes that allready been done but turned out badly.

  9. Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

  10. Dunno if you read comments this late into a video's life, but I wanna point out that the giant mushrooms give +2 food to all tiles adjacent. So basically each of them is a kilimanjaro natural wonder from civ 6. You might wanna settle the one right next to your borders.
