Failed to take into account our wide open southern border that Chinese "nationals" (amongst many other nationalities besides just central American) just happen to be pouring through. While in the South China Sea, Vietnam and the Philippines are fighting China on their areas. Vietnam trying to retake the Paracel Islands while the Philippines after the missile attacks in the EDCA sites on which some Chinese missiles hit residential areas fought China in the Spratlys and Scarborough shoal with the help of Australian forces. Chinese manmade islands were destroyed in the process due to weak defenses after most of their Chinese forces were sent near Taiwan. Also the allied forces in the South China Sea created a blockade to prevent supply and oil tankers to enter China. While in the Western region, India is trying to control their borders as Chinese refugees are trying to escape China.

Yeah, I can't see the US being stupid enough to attempt a ground invasion of China unless they had no other option. D-day was the allies rolling a natural 20 after making tons of preparation and made people think sea invasions aren't that hard. The US knows any attempt to invade the mainland of China would be subject to extreme losses.
As if China is the only one prepared or preparing for war. Just a reminder – China's military hardware's are not tested in battle yet. Don't estimate also the US air power / superiority .
