  1. Actually quick story on this topic. I was playing an online game with a group I had never played with. The DM said that it would be an extremely difficult campaign so I was excited as I thought he meant difficulty by design puzzleds etc. Instead he essentially completely copied Elden from cover to back. His enemies were all just hit sponges and heavy damage dealers. I finished with this after a session but it was funny to see his frustration as we would be repetitively crippled until we got randomly great rng by every enemy we fought. πŸ˜‚

  2. I remember our DM homebrewed the Pursuer into our game. We encountered him at lvl 2, he has 3 legendary actions and a reaction. And we roll a d20 at nightfall if we're outside a town. Of we roll below 15 we encounter him.

  5. Thankfully my first encounter with "Elder Ring", was the Critical Role's commerc… hm… one-shot with Alex Ward, Krystina Arielle and the phenomenal Brennan Lee Mullighan. Which was like a clear wound, on the damage that coust when finded out Martin was involved. I mean the guy has enough free time to do this… Meanwile Brendon Sanderson wrote 34 novels sence "Dance with Dragons" came out, and five new books during the Pandemic. Sorry, just has to deal with this.

  6. I'm in a 5e campaign where the DM made stat blocks for a bunch of Dark Souls 1 enemies and is running us through that storyline. Luckily we have bonfires we link to with a short or long rest so death isn't final. The graveyard near Firelink Shrine TPK'd us at least 3 times, probably more. Bunch of CR 7 multiattack skeletons and the necromancer kept not being there.
